Addiction treatment WORKS! The Twelve Step Model has been utilized as a treatment for alcohol abuse and alcoholism since 1935. It is extremely important to know that help IS out there and addiction recovery is possible. If you are battling alcoholism, drug addiction, addiction or any other form of addictive behavior, there are people who know EXACTLY what it is like!
You can find out more at: www.aa.org - Alcoholics Anonymous Official Site - As should be blatantly obvious, we are in no way affiliated with them or any other Twelve Step Program. We are just looking to provide hope to those suffering from alcoholism or addiction.
It is important to note there are several ways for one to address his or her alcohol abuse treatment. Substance abuse is a very serious condition and has become an epidemic in today's world. Many people suffering with substance abuse need treatment, such as inpatient stays, rehab, or counseling. The importance and purpose of this video, and all our other videos, is to show that recovery IS possible and to give hope to those who are struggling with alcohol and drug addiction issues. Help IS out there!
From the book Alcoholics Anonymous: "In spite of the great increase in the size and span of this Fellowship, at its core it remains simple and personal. Each day, somewhere in the world, recovery begins when one alcoholic talks with another alcoholic, sharing experience, strength, and hope."

“I had Climbed up on the throne of judgement playing God in the state of separation. Between me and you.” This is the most important thing. We humans need to stop creating separation between us. Alcoholics anonymous is the first program to give us a process to get closer to God and eliminate the illusion that we are separate from God.

I didn’t care the topic(Lord knows I need them all) it was their voice the tempo , timbre of their speech that I needed to ‘hook’ me. After the First talk, I played a second and that’s all it took! 💥 HOOKED! Lol I played the same few tapes over before bed just to be lulled by his magic voice! Today the topics just get better and better, THANKS AA. Bob, you kept me coming back! you were the first speaker I wanted to repeat or tried to play again. Jus Sayin....

Bob and his way of outlining how when he feels bad he feeds the beast of outside validation and making himself feel good by bad things and putting others down does not work. Had up that’s me. Bob has done sober research. The awareness is tremendous. Most are uncomfortable going to the depths he has! If you dont let the car own you or put on a nice outfit for the day its ok, I saw Bob speak in a lazy blue collar town west of chicago, he showed up in a tailored suit. Circuit Speaker ego was what allot of people thought of him, I see he is aware of himself. AA can be a room full of hypocrites as long as we are not all sick on the same day! Bob is a great speaker helping others wake up

Somehow, I am at the top of my career right now but at constant conflict with others at work and at risk of being fired because im restless, irritable and disconented. When I was stuck in treatment all i could think about was get the job back, get my family back, the girl, the money, the new car, none of it works. I dont even know how to stop managing my own life. These tapes are the only thing that give me an inclining of hope. I keep praying God will relieve me of the bondage of self because I'm so exhausted of self.

Addiction is a disease. It is like a demon who wants you to give you to it. I say "keep it" Recovery is the answer I am the answer. I love you is the answer. A drug is not the answer. Love is.

Talking about not be proud of our past. I can relate to that too. I looked up the antonym of pride and I thought it was humility. I was wrong. It is shame which I have so much. Ashamed who I am. Yes I have to work on my character defects. I have pride, shame ,envy, jealousy, resentment, greed although I personally do not have much etc etc

Depression ( the one he is speaking of) comes from thinking about myself too much. SELF is the problem. If I am in conflict with people who aren't related and/or don't know me then I'M the problem 🙃.

This guy Bob D is one of the best speakers I’ve ever heard and I’ve heard a lot since 1975 Especially regarding the third and fourth step we should become the 10th 11th and 12th steps of maintenance so these are crucial in the step programs and unless you use the accompanying text of the big book you’re doing yourself a disservice Bob knows this. And I am an easy-going kind of a gal as well ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha😅 Ha ha ha rolling on the floor laughing are all TFLROTFL
