Bob Crane & Hogan's Heroes Cast on The Leslie Uggams Show - October 1969

Ойын-сауық

On October 12, 1969, Bob Crane, along with fellow "Hogan's Heroes" cast members Larry Hovis, Robert Clary, Werner Klemperer, and John Banner, appeared on "The Leslie Uggams Show." In this introduction segment to the episode, the heroes are trying to think of names they can use as aliases for their daring escape, and the names they come up with are pretty unique! Yep. I have always watched old TV shows, even as a kid. Never ran into Hogan's Heros until a couple years ago. I'm 39 now and I absolutely love this show. I have seen every episode countless times, I have it on every night during the week on MeTV and on the weekends I play recordings from my DVR. No matter how many times I see each episode I laugh like it was the first time I saw it. This show has made me laugh so hard that my stomach hurts and I can't breathe more times than probably anything else in my whole life. I even find new things in it that I've missed before. Maybe some mannerism Klink does or some face Hogan makes or other little things that I hadn't seen before. It is a perfect comedy. The only other show that makes me laugh like that is Phil Silvers Show. That one is fantastic too.

+Kevan Ray That was the whole skit. The rest of their appearance was part of a large (Christian) Song and dance number that you can find here on KZread (I have found it before, I just don't recall where). Sadly, they weren't allowed to actually do anything interesting during their appearance, so this was the best part of the show.

And I may add, that this us same Leslie Uggams that stars in "DEADPOOL" and "DEADPOOL 2" as the blind lady that "Wade Wilson" (Ryan Reynolds) taunts. but "HOGAN'S HEROES" is still a popular CBS series from the 1960s, and that it isn't the first time that the cast escaped Stalag 13 as the show's main producer, Bing Crosby, of Bing Crosby Productions had these guys on ABC's "THE HOLLYWOOD PALACE" in 1965, while Werner Klemperer's "Col Klink" somehow managed to appear on "BATMAN" in a window cameo, and also on NBC's " Rowan & Martin's LAUGH-IN" and on CBS's "RED SKELTON HOUR"- that's how popular that the 1965-1971 CBS series was in its time!
