Boxing has an interesting event like once every 6 months. MMA has the top fighters fighting eachother on a monthly basis.

However MMA has far fewer people involved it is a smaller sport so therefore.much easier to get top guys against each other as DANA owns it all. In boxing you have a sport 200 years old and millions of contenders. MMA is great but boxing is bigger. Ask a mexican if they would want a title.in boxing or MMA. Love MMA but doesnt and shouldnt compete with boxing. Yes MMA is an incredible skill but you cant fight as regularly or aslong as a boxer at the top the wear.on body is too great.

@@Padoshee mma is definitely bigger than boxing today. The average ufc event pulls way bigger numbers than the average boxing event. Boxing only has 1 or 2 big fights each year while mma has tons of big fights. Boxing may be bigger in Mexico but mma is bigger in Canada, Brazil, Dubai, Ireland, Russia, China etc. there’s a reason why people are discussing if “boxing is dead” because it’s on the downhill. Boxing is looking to maintain while is mma is increasing

@@Padoshee sure but you can’t deny mma is bigger right now. Ufc also have bigger stars than boxing. We have guys like Conor, khabib, Jorge masvidal, Izzy, Jon jones and Nate Diaz. Boxing only has AJ, Garcia, canelo and maybe fury which doesn’t add up cuz he couldn’t pull of a 1 million dollar gate which is embarrassing.

Instead, you get top boxers padding their records against other boxers they know they're going to kill and not taking the actual competitive fights that fans would be more into.... name me some top boxing fights in the last few years where the gambling odds were tight and even? Name me some pick'em fights? Very few and far because everyone wants to keep that undefeated career and take the easier fight. No reason for promoters, fighers to not get together and work something out.

Boxing has lost to the UFC. I love boxing but I love the UFC way more. For all of those people who are going to argue and say that UFC fighters roll around on the mat and it's boring I want you to know that you think it's boring because you don't understand it. Give it a chance and learn about it and you might be impressed. I'm not here to down boxing because boxing is awesome and without it the UFC wouldn't have evolved like it has without boxing and many other forms of combat or martial arts. UFC fans are usually boxing fans too but it seems like this new generation of UFC fans aren't boxing fans because their isn't much to be a fan of. This is just my opinion and it doesn't make me right or wrong. I'd love to see boxing thrive again and produce warriors like the UFC and like boxing used to like Ali, Frazier, Dempsey, Tyson, and other real fighters. Mayweather was good but boring, he coasts through by winning matches by points and rounds. Boxing fans want to see knockouts. The old generation of boxing fans liked and understood that style of boxing but this new generation wants to see Gladiators that brawl and fight like Mike Tyson did. Nobody scares their opponents in boxing like Tyson did, he won before he even got in the ring with intimidating them and people loved that. Boxing needs UFC style fights where they fight like Roman Gladiators, like Jack Dempsey and other warriors. It's like Mayweather is all about money and so are other boxers. 👊

There is money in boxing only if u are a champion. If you are not a champion you aint making jack shit! I think dana is aiming to sign champions and talents they have the capital but dont get it wrong in boxing you have to be 20-0 have a belt and then you are making some real money

In UFC it's not about who's the best fighter it's about who's the best character that's why goons like Conor do such high PPV buys and by the way Francis has the hardest punch recorded. Not the hardest punch in the world. How many boxers/mma fighters actually go to these tests and get here punch recorded lol not that many. Francis is a top heavy weight but he won't do huge PPV's unless he's fighting someone like brock lesnar and even then it won't be close to what people like Conor can do.

Its true though.... Dana still tries to go into different forms of entertainment. Five years ago he has announced that he's kicking off a boxing promotion.... Nothing has happened so far. Dana has been trying to get into boxing forever, even back in the 90s when he used to be an aerobic instructor for women in Las Vegas. As a matter of fact Dana used to be one of those people who kept saying how terrible MMA is. But to go into that slapping contest bullcrap is beyond embarrassing even for a guy like Dana. For something who has taken the UFC so far to make such an move... that tells you everything about his mentality. Just recently he posted a video where he invited Tyson Fury to fight Jon Jones in the UFC. Obviously Fury isn't so stupid to take on that offer, because boxing is his bread and butter. He made $25 million by fighting a washed up second tier contender in Chisora last December. Jon Jones made $3 million by fighting Gane for the UFC heavyweight championship. White is gambling, hoping that Fury really is that stupid.
