Boating Through An Old Train Tunnel | Houseboating on Shasta Lake
The water in Shasta Lake was extremely low this year for our annual houseboating trip but one perk of the drought was that we were able to explore the now exposed Shasta Railroad #5 Train Tunnel and trestle, built in 1884.

Very cool thanks for posting Hopefully we'll stop using so much water to grow produce and sell to other countries and building houses for the already overcrowded California with not enough water

Can you launch a boat at jones valley marina?

Yes, I think they have 2 launch areas with the current marina set up. When the water level is higher there is a designated launch.
Not lowest since 1977, lowest since 2014

At that date lower than 2014. Will eventually surpass '14 season.
