BOAT LIFE in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle | Mexico | Ep 51

Follow along for real time updates on Instagram and Facebook @cruisingmeraki
▬▬ THIS WEEK ▬▬
This is BOAT LIFE! We make our way in to a marina for the first time in a TWO months in order to complete a couple of boat projects. It's no surprise that we left Canada fairly quickly and that meant some of the less important boat jobs didn't get completed. Lucky for us the skilled workers in La Cruz are amazing, although sometimes the communication can be a challenge!
Mother Nature gives Kate a very unique Birthday present AND we get a special update from Mom and Dad

Looks like you might have picked up a stowaway... Enjoyed the update by mom and dad. Didn't know that finding the right boat is so hard-- what a marathon of a detour they are taking! I guess they will be heading for a certain famous canal.

So great to see an update from your folks. Pretty interesting to see the effects of a tsunami from across the ocean too.

Where were you during the eruption in Tonga? Did you notice any unique tidal flows or changes in the sea around you?

Great Job! Thanks for the update on your parents! If you have not caught the mouse yet, maybe you could "borrow" someone else's "boat cat" to hunt it down.

There are so many stray cats in Mexico I thought that would be a good option (haha) but so many of them are quite nervous.

Thanks for showing us the effects of the Volcano. Very interesting to see it like that. Crazy about the largest rouge wave ever recorded in Ucluelet recently being confirmed. I asked my Mom about Rouge waves and she told me a story about rough seas and how only one time she got truly sacred. My Father was below deck, begging for my Mom to just throw him over the side and be done with it(Gotta hand it to my Dad, who goes sailing when they suffer from sea sickness, someone who loves thier wife). My Mom tells me a wall came towards her and it was the first time she prayed and apologized to myself and siblings for putting herself in the situation. I hope and pray that you never see seas in this condition. Thank-you for allowing us to become part of your family and join you on your adventures. Best wishes to you all...

We were blown away by the effect we saw from the Volcano, the ocean is such a magnificently connected beast! Wow that is a crazy story about your parents! So glad they managed through it safely.

@@CruisingMeraki You should suggest your parents do a sort of vlog. They are quite inspiring. I loved the quote from your Dad about staying youthful. He has about 10 years on me but I still feel the age catching up fast. Before my accident this was my dream. Hearing your parents start sailing is showing me that even if it takes a few years for me to recover I can still do things like this. Now to re-convince my wife, I think she secretly sighed relief for the past couple of years thinking I have given up. 😆 Looking forward to hearing about thier adventure bringing the boat through the canal Hoping the boat of thier dreams sails into thied lives. Safe passage!!!!
