What a good layout and love swivel front seats. We have the bed across the back as well and pretty well always sleep with the doors open in warmer climes!! Not sure about doing it wild camping but definitely on sites!! Good idea with the door too as sometimes a problem parking up on continental sites....being polite of course!! Bon voyage!!

We did a PX deal with the dealer and because of the way it was all worked out I can't really say what it cost unless I go through all the details of the PX. List price though is about £39k. Dealer prices range depending on where you go, up to about £45k on the road.

Correct. The old lead acid will be recycled at some point 😀

This Winter is a bit different to what we would normally plan. It's more difficult to travel on the canals in Winter due to the maintenance work on Locks etc. However, we plan to cruise around the canals in Summer and then Pop over to Europe in the Winter. The boat will be safely moored up while we are away.

Is that a new van Steve - looks nice pleased for you - at least you can have your trips to Spain again all being well

Hi Jamie, we are using the van as a car at the moment. It's a little bigger than the Audi A6 AllRoad we had to tow our caravan so it feels quite small compared to the Comanche. We really are looking forward to going to Spain next Winter, it's just too cold here in the UK; bbrrrrr

@@TheHappyTravellers would love to tour Spain and Portugal in the future but I wanna explore all of England Ireland Scotland Wales and all the little islands first and once done that I will see how things go and do over in Europe then but undecided lol I bet the new camper is easier to park though but is very nice you both take care and maybe in the future might bump into you and say hello lol

Yes the under bed area can take quite a bit of luggage :)

That looks really fantastic, a great choice. Go for the refillable gas, I'm sure you've done it all before but filling up abroad with the adapters is so much more feasible. I've just fitted a Gasit system and it is so easy to do, and not too expensive, nice video. U.K. south.

Yes, we had the GasIt system on the Comanche so we're fully into the filling up in Europe. Not sure if we should go for GasIt or SafeFill bottles. Cost is not too far apart ...

Nice one Steve, glad you are happy with her. We even have the same colour :) Because of the design with two double beds, the max size gas bottles are quoted as 2 x 5kg These are a bit odd size for the calor so I have gone for two 5kg safefill. I will let you know how they fit

Yes, Wendy dos drive and I think the CuddleBus is going to be a lot easier for her. It's not much bigger than an estate car and has a better driving position.

The fact that we are not going to be full time in the cuddlebus means that we don't have to carry everything we own in it. It's more of a "getaway vehicle" where we'll only need clothes and food etc for a 3 month trip. Electrics on the boat are coming along nicely so am hopeful :)
