It’s because they mention the devil clearly too much. 1. devil / a few old tunes (1996) 2. peace-tony-devil / old tunes vol. 2 (1996) 3. the devil is in the details / geogadd (2001) 4. the devil is in the details (reverse) / geogaddi (reverse) (2002) If i also count the voice in their one track named ’’you could feel the sky (reverse)’’ who say ’’a god with hooves, a god with horns’’ then we have them already mentioning the devil 5 times. Also is their album called ’’geogaddi’’ exact 66:06 min in length. The standard version of geogaddi does even have a file size of 666mb as well.

@@Program7 Yes, they mention satanism. They also mention cults. Does that make them a group of satanic cult-worshippers? No. I can't tell you how many fully atheist Religion majors I knew from college. You can study something, talk about it, be interested in it, and make art about it without actually believing it. The brothers themselves have mentioned how Geogaddi was basically just them having a bit of fun due to them knowing their audiences pick apart their music. I wouldn't look too deeply into it, man, they're just two regular dudes with families.

Life is often cruel and absurd but there is a version of roygbiv that goes on for 6 minutes

@@TheJustproxy bocpages.org/wiki/Roygbiv tbf they only say "is understood to be genuine" but other little detective things tell me stuff like: 1) The parts are isolated, after and during the sample the bass and drums are completely and perfectly isolated in a way that couldn't be achieved unless you had access to the original stems 2) The consistency of the sound is the same as the rest of the track with the second version of the chords after the sample, which means either the person who made it has a very similar tape recorder, or that it was boc on their mystery 4 track 3) Sesame street is one of Boards of Canada's favourite things to sample (see whitewater) 4) They used Bocuma for the beginning, bocuma was the track behind roygbiv on the original Boc Maxima tape recording, and a little bit leaks into the intro which can still be heard as late as the Music has the rights to children version 5) Story checks out. If it was someone that lived local to them, they more than likely were asked to do it or offered on hearing about it, they're pretty chilled out regular people aside from being musical geniuses 6) the synth they use for the chord sequence after the sample is very similar to a synth they've used in various tracks, but I can't remember which, I will come back and edit this

That's because of the order in BoC Maxima, the first album both of those tracks featured on. A little bit of bocuma gets into roygbiv which you can still hear on music has the rights to children, probably because they record to cassette and had either slightly messed up the timing, or more likely, got the timing absolutely perfect and did it all absolutely deliberately.

@@bobthecarrot8940 it's because bocuma precedes roygbiv, and is meant to precede roygbiv. the fade out on boc maxima is different, bocuma's fade out is slightly less faint than on music has the right

Bocuma & Roygbiv with Alphaquest Theme? The more listen to Roygbiv the more the "child's" voice intermittently sounds as though it is saying lleh (hell backwards). Most claim it is yeah backwards, however I "think" I distinctly hear L's. Who cares? It's one of the most intriguing compositions of all time in my estimation.
