Putting Bo on the main card actually degrades the PPV, especially considering his opponent. If Bo was fighting Sean Brady, then I could let it slide, but this match is straight... TRASH 🗑 Edit: Brady, Ikram, Roman, Usman, whoever Bo isn't fighting anyone with any name or decent skill, it's a waste to put it on the main card that we are paying for. If you pay.

Personally I would put Cody vs figgy on the main card. They have it as the prelims opener to “show how stacked it is” but most fights above it are just worse

This is a phenominal point. This card would have been an amazing opportunity to give him his first big fight too.

I like Bo well enough, he's definitely skilled, but it is just straight up disrespectful to have a handful of highly ranked former champs below an unranked newbie.

Some have said wrestling is the best base for MMA. Some are sure Bo is a future UFC champion. Some say he’s the best prospect in the UFC. Those people say he needs more time/training/experience to fight top 5 guys (he only has a few years training MMA). Bo has indicated he can beat anyone in the division now. How long are we giving him to be champ? Like 7 more fights? I dunno. Now compare that to Alex Pereira. Kickboxer - world class but only trained MMA for a few years. Started in UFC 2021. 185 lbs. In 4th fight in UFC, wins middleweight belt. 7th UFC fight, wins LH belt. Bo is an unranked Middleweight fighting another unranked Middleweight on UFC 300 main card? There is no way he can achieve what Pereira has done.

You have to weigh the risks. Risk 1 - Bo can lose to a big underdog and be derailed. Prob less than 2%. Risk 2 - Bo can fight a top level guy now and be in a very close fight. Prob 50%. I think that’s what they’re weighing. Why lose the sense that he might just be a once in a lifetime dominant guy, by showing that he’s just another guy who’s about on par with the other top guys. The intriguing storyline with a guy like Bo is the possibility that he might be extremely special. Let the suspense continue to build on that.

@@gamerzss There is no pay difference. Each fighter has a contract that pays them to Show and an additional bonus to Win. If they fight first or last makes zero difference in the amount of pay they receive. You are making emotional and illogical arguments, that is why I said calm down. Bo is literally fighting at 9:00 instead of 8:30, nothing more, nothing less. The card is so stacked that many of the fights on the Prelims would be Main Card fights, just like Dana had promised. Many of the Prelim fights could be Main Event fights on a Fight Night card as well. So we knew going into this that great fights and great fighters were going to end up being on the Prelims. If you look at this logically, then you'd realize that Bo will now get LESS eyeballs on his fight. Anyone with FightPass or ESPN+ can watch the fights on the Early Prelims and the Prelims. The Main Card requires a PPV purchase (or streamed) so obviously less people will be watching the Main Card than there are people who can view the Prelims. Also Bo has more pressure on him now. He has more to lose. Not only is he in a lose-lose situation with fans because if he wins nobody will give him credit, but if he loses then he's lost to an unranked nobody. Now add to it that if he wins but it's not exciting or dominant enough of a win, he will get relegated to the Prelims and not just on a stacked card like this where even the Prelim fighters are all legit badasses. It's a lot of added pressure. So the fighters make the same money, and the last Prelim fight vs the first Main Card fight gets more exposure/eyeballs on the fight, and Bo is under even more pressure in a lose-lose situation. Is this really a "gift" or some sort of "favor" from the UFC? As you can see there are going to be great fights and great fighters, even on the Prelims. I'm not a fan nor am I a hater of Bo. I'm watching his career much like I watch a lot of fighter's careers, with a wait and see approach. I'm hoping that the UFC 300 card has great fights all night, but if I had to bet on it, I'd probably be forced to admit that some of the fights end up being less than exciting. If Bo loses or if Bo has a boring fight, then next time he won't be on the Main Card. The same goes for other fights on UFC 300. Hopefully they'll all be amazing and exciting fights, but reality tells us that there will probably be a few fights that look great on paper yet end up being boring. Francis vs Derrick Lewis, Santos vs Johnny Walker etc etc come to mind. On paper they were going to be awesome fights, then ended up being horrible. We'll see how UFC 300 turns out, but it's not worth getting riled up about fight placement on an extremely stacked card. Have a good day brother

I want Bo and Khamzat to climb the ranks before they fight, preferably when one of them is champion. Khamzat’s road to the belt: T10, T10, T5 and depending on how he looked another T5; so 3 to 4 fights. Bo’s road: T15 and depending on how he looks another T15, then T10, T10, T5 and depending on how he looks another T5; so 4 to 6 fights. 3 fights a year each. These are the proper roads to the belt, we can speed it up but I wouldn’t go below 2 fights for Khamzat and 3 for Bo.

Jiri, Aljo, Holly, Figueredo, Garbrandt, Jessica Andrade, These were 6 former champs who got a spot at Prelims. Screw Nickal vs Brundage, a fight NOBODY cares about.

Dana white is brutal. Why is holly holm on the prelims? Why is Kayla Harrison on the prelims? Why is Cody Garbrant on the early prelims? Dana is pushing out some old timers to make room for new blood. But damn it’s brutal. Holly has made him a lot of money. And he’s just punishing Kayla for not playing ball for so many years. Not sure why he’s fucking over Cody. Bo doesn’t belong on this main card. He hasn’t earned it. He hasn’t done anything yet. And he has no following. Holly on the other hand still brings in the viewers. I’m puzzled.

I think the masses are going to hate this. I agree with you uncle Chael I don’t see the problem with the ufc trying to push Bo. The only real issue I see with it truthfully is that Bo doesn’t really reciprocate them trying to push him by trying to push himself in the media. Of all the rising stars in the organization right now I hear about Bo nickal the least, and when he does say or do something it’s usually received poorly by the fans. So I hope this becomes a net positive for him but I think it depends how he handles the extra spotlight leading up to 300, which will absolutely be immense compared to a regular card.

The UFC seems to be milking Bo as much as they can. I believe they want to create more storylines and possible rivalries before they send him all the way to the top. Think of the star quarterback mopping up JV opponents. Where’s the drama in that?

i rather have a another womens fight on there like the Holly vs Kayla fight, but it really should be the Aljo or Jiri fight on there. and Cody Figgy shouldn’t even be the first fight it should be Bobby vs Jim Miller. they got the placements all f’d up.

There was a clip that I saw where Bo was saying he could beat Chimiaev. The problem for Khamzat is that he doesn't dominate when fighting a higher level better skilled opponent. Bo hasn't been tested in MMA at the higher levels and I would think that if either of them could dominate the other it would be a statement of supreme skill.
