Auburn dual-sport athlete Bo Jackson was timed at 4.19 in the forty-yard dash, which was the fastest handheld forty-yard dash ever recorded--even faster than Bullet Bob Hayes, as Brandt eludes to.

Don't use headphones and lower your volume.
Hayes does not have a documented 40 time just like Bo does not have a documented 40 time.
Who thought that was where this needed to be cut?
Bo did not stutter, it was just the "doppler effect".

Funny guy!
The problem is Gil Brandt timed him an not a electronic equipment. A human timing a 40 usually is 0.12 to 0.18 faster than electronic times.

@A Rebel With A Cause How a bout NO. Bo ran in 1986 the NFL used hand timing exclusively til 1998. They switched to semi automatic timing in 1999. Pro Days are still hand timed. that is why they are not official.

@patrio3 That is correct. But it is not electronic times. It is Semi Automatic times. Electronic is just the way the time is displayed on a time clock or scoreboard. Hand time, semi auto and fully auto timing can be displayed electronically.

@A Rebel With A Cause He did not say Bo ran the fastest time ever recorded. You really should listen to what is being said. He said Bo ran the fastest time that HE ever recorded. Big difference. You can believe whomever you wan't. I am just telling the truth.
I ran a 4:2 in high school in a 40. I should have pursued my football passion. Oh well I’m to old now but the path I took owning JB Heating-Air & Refrigeration. I can’t complain.

WOW YOU MUST HAVE BEEN THERE WHEN EVER HE WAS TIMED WITH A STOP WATCH OR ELECTRIC TIMER YOUR OPINION IS CRAP WHO CARES WHAT YOU THINK I THINK YOU HAVE S**T FOR BRAINS I WENT TO AUBURN DURING HIS PLAYING DAYS THERE AND ATTENDED ALL PRACTICES THAT WERE NOT CLOSED WHICH WERE MANY WE HAD DOZENS OF SCOUTS WITH STOP WATCHES PLUS COUCHES WHO TIMED HIM EVERY WEEK AND HE HAD MANY 4.0 TIMES IN THE FORTY I GOT HIM AS A FAN WITH A WATCH IN 4.19 BUT HANDS WERE SHAKY YOU NEVER WERE ANYWHERE CLOSE TO BEING A WITNESS TO THESE TIMES AND YOU ARE TALKING OUT OF YOUR A**HOLE
