Jamie Heinrich People either think he's the phoniest POS host on TV or he's very genuine, silly and appreciative of his guests. I don't know why it's so polarizing, but he is one of my favourite hosts of all time and one of my favourite comedians (Nice Try, The Devil is silly and amazing). If you like the show and can get into podcasts, He has a fantastic show called "You Made It Weird" where he does 1-2 hour interviews with some of his close comedian friends. Bo Burnham actually has a great episode with him with almost 4 hours of interview time in total.

I love how he always asks if he can swear. The sweetest, most adorable thing in the world.

He says “thank you, Boom” bc that’s his nickname for Bo from the inside joke they had when they first met ❤

My favorite part of the entire interview. When he leans in to hug him bye, and all late night talk shows like fuckin whisper something to the person so you only see lips move and never hear what they said. He said it into the microphone. One of the most satisfying things ever.

Pete says " Thank you boom" because they have an inside joke from petes podcast that say they " boom boom boom boom". Which is why they said it at the beginning if his interview.

Bo Burnham is a fucking genius

Both seem so genuine. That is why I am such a fan of both.

Lost Koz I do too. I know how uncomfortable I'd be sitting on a stage with no desk in front of me. I'd feel exposed and just seeing them there, deskless and alone, I feel uncomfortable vicariously through them.

exactly. If it's not about teen moms bitching about their sad lives even though they are getting thousands of dollars to be there, or drunken whores its not TV to the execs at MTV. Should have put it on Comedy Central along with new Beavis and Butt-Head which was cancelled by the douchebag execs after reviving it FOR ONE SEASON.

JDillander91 Brother, MTV has those shows because of the huge ratings in brings in. Why get mad at execs rather than the millions of dumb viewers who tune in to Teen Mom and shit? I'm sure Bo would have wanted his show on Comedy Central, but MTV was the one to give him the green light. If anything, I'd thank MTV for funding it so at least we have a season of a show by Bo. It didn't cater enough viewership so of course they canceled it, as they should have. I don't quite see your rationale.

I'm not too sure since English is not my first language, but i think Pete said "Thank you, Boom". This nickname for Bo came from "the boom game" that they play in Pete's podcast "you made it weird".

I always say comedy is only so much about funny jokes. It’s about delivery. Anything can be funny done by the right person in the right way.

Bo predicted the fate of this show... :(

Just like everyone else who encounters him, I love this guy.

seriously tho, Bo seemed kinda mean and, dare I say...jealous(?) ...that Pete has this awesome show and his got cancelled. I know his act is kinda Denis Leary-esque "I'm an asshole", but he genuinely seems to not like/care about Pete--like he's better than him. I think they're both really funny (I do find Pete to be funnier, but they're obviously both extremely intelligent, witty comics) but I dunno.....it felt like I saw Pete get his feelings a weee bit hurt on television from his guest. #hashbrowns

i thought it was great. very smart. an interesting way to poke fun at all the stupid tv shows on nowadays. the problem was that it was on mtv. typically people who watch tv love all those silly "reality" shows and therefor got a bad taste in their mouth from what bo was trying to portray. also it was a first season, his first attempt at a television series... if another network would have picked up the show instead of mtv, id like to think the latter seasons would have been even better.

I'll stop you at Burnham is lame. If you think poetry is lame. That would make the poetry that Burnham writes lame, not Burnham himself. For that to logically follow, you would have to consider ALL writers of poetry to be lame, and that would be both a hasty generalization and just plain wrong.

Poetry is not lame you just don't like it... And Burnham wrote some hilarious poems so when you say poetry you must be thinking about stuff you studied in school.. So remember to keep an open mind ;)

Here's my open mind: I have a Master's degree in English literature, yet I still do not enjoy most poetry. Nor do I enjoy the poetry of Bo Burnham. Nor the person Bo Burnham. Disliking something doesn't mean I have a closed mind. It means I have an opinion.
