@DanteYewToob
6 ай бұрын
I think everyone has this wrong. This is Bo Burnham. The joke if the whole song is some white guy trying to “fix the world” with comedy. So the joke about saving a seat is making fun of how everyone thinks over political correctness will actually solve anything. Policing comedy and “sanitizing” jokes isn’t how you do true equality and inclusion… jokes should be safe as long as they’re not directly intended to hurt others. So the point is that it’s a lazy feeble effort to save the world through fake political correctness because that’s easier than actually addressing the real problems. Don’t bother facing the roots of actual racism and bigotry, just don’t allow people to make jokes about Jews or people of color. That will fix everything! It’s simultaneously kinda messed up, but also true and thoughtful. Right where Bo lives in his comedy.

Bo is 196cm (77inches). He looks tall af in most of the musical skits because of camera angle and framing techniques, camera is positioned around the height of his waist and pointing slightly up, this is common in making yourself look taller and guys use it all the time. Perspective comes into play a lot too since the door is quite far back.

Right where Bo lives in his comedy.
bo, the fact that you came to this world, has automatically made it a better place.

1:48 “from a white guy like me” “bingo”
I love when he says "making a literal difference metaphorically"
The irony that this song probably did help a lot of people’s worlds.

That Venn diagram-I exhaled out of my nose
Bo is underrated, belongs alongside the greatest comedians of all time. Inside was nothing but a work of pure genius.

Not sure I'd describe it as a comedy special though. It was a work of art for sure and made me laugh on occasion. I'd just describe it as a journey. A rollercoaster of emotions.
profound introspection aside, this song goes hard.

the HEALING THE WORLD WITH COMEDY is soooooo good
the fact that he’s taller than the doors is already funni
@RokuNyx

Only slightly. Average doors are around 80inches in height - the door behind him is slightly smaller than him as shown at the end of the special so it's around maybe 73inches tall.
With WW3 on the verge of happening we really need Bo to heal the world

@eunice the entire song is about how self indulgent celebrities are when they try to help. His comedy ain't gonna do shit for the people actually suffering and he knows that. The only thing it's gonna do is appease the worries of privelged people

This is so good. Not a wasted moment, line or note. It’s all killer writing and performing from beginning to end.
Idk why but 2:15 has the same vibes as that one bit in “Sad” - “But u gotta remember there's good things about it too. Like the fact that none of that's happening to me, score!”
“If you see white men dressed in white cloaks” I finally get that, and oh dear lord…

@@lucakeltie2491 Semantics, really. For instance - Rent and Grease are classified as Rock Musicals, even though the greater majority (if not the entire playlist) isn't what one would generally classify as "rock music". It's not a particularly definitive term in that respect.

Hamilton is the best… also written by one man. And he is Latino and Jew … but this is good 👌🏾
"the other stuff" gets me every time
The beginning of the song sounds almost like if Depeche Mode wrote comedy
"The world needs direction... from a white guy like me..." (GOD) "BINGO" Lol, I just can't. Its too fucking good!
I can't believe he thinks he shouldn't tell jokes at a time like this. Now is when we need it the most.
W Song, W Special. Bo Burnham makes Vibe Turtle smile (and sob) so much.
"Systematic oppression, income inequality... the other stuff" lmao
Four times the Bo, four times the fun!
march 2022 and i'm still not over this special
The talent of this man is just indescribable
The pencils really get me gigglin
It’s a goat song because it literally has everything. Slow build. Euphoric rise. Tempo changes. Goated.
Making a literal difference metaphorically makes me laugh EVERY time.😂
All the songs put into this EP was amazing.
The "work montage" in this part made me laugh until I cried the first time I watched it.
I swore I'd never be back, but now im back on my feet...
