BNP Leader Nick Griffin: 'I'm not anti-Muslim, I'm anti-Islam'

The British National Party leader Nick Griffin tells 5 live's Nicky Campbell the BNP's view on Islam's place in the UK.
In response to a British Muslim caller accusing him of anti-Muslim sentiment, Griffin stated he had read the Koran and believed it to be 'not a religious book, but a manual for conquering other people's countries'.

    Sorry, but I 100% agree with everything Nick Griffin said there. I don't have anything against Muslim people, or Islam, but it is fundementally wrong for any religion to command their followers to try and implement their religion on a country/ area that doesn't follow it. Absolutely wrong. Britain is NOT an Islamic country, and those who want to move and live here should integrate with the community and traditions of the country, not try to implement their own traditions on it. That is fundementally wrong. If a load of Christians went to an Islamic country, and tried to implement Christianity, their fucking head would be on a pike before they knew it. How fucking wrong is that. Double standards at it's best. What an absolute disgrace

    You know... Funnily enough, myself as a Muslim I don't believe in imposing my values on others nor do I aim to compromise ANY part of Islam. Therefore, I would like to leave this country for my Islamic Utopia and until I do won't break any laws here. I believe that separation is a good idea with no hard feelings and future business ties (perhaps) so as long as we are not "de-Islamified" or that we pose the same threat.

    I'm not English and I agree with him. He is against the war in the Middle East so don't you think if he didn't like Muslim people in general that he would condone and encourage attacks in the Middle East by his own people? His point should be applied to al nationalities in all countries who try to change the culture and values of a country they have migrated to. Show some respect to the culture of the country that has taken you in.

Anyway, back to the Quran, which is what we were talking about before you randomly changed the subject. @kocktoe Nick Griffin is an admirer of Adolf Hitler, but doesn't say it in public, because if he did, he would lose votes. He is an extreme right wing nationalist, who believes that white Britons should have more rights than non-whites, irrespective if they are British or not. He is also an anti-zionist, just like many other extreme right wing nationalists. He is anti-islamic, in terms of ideology and believes it should not be present in Britain.

    Verse 9:30 says anyone who believes that Jesus is the son of god is cursed by Allah, so the Quran curses every Christian on the planet. Whether or not you *personally* believe that Jesus claimed to be the son of god is irrelevant. Verse 98:6 says that the disbelievers are the "worst of creatures", when it says "people of the scriptures" (or "ahl al-kitab" in the original Arabic) it's specifically referring to Jews and Christians. So it's saying Jews and Christians are the "worst of creatures".

    @kocktoe White nationalists are anti-zionist and anti-jewish, just like the Palestinians !! Any so called white nationalist who doesn't like islam, only doesn't like it, because its ideology does not support a racial identity. Islam does not promote a racial identity. In fact white nationalists support Palestinians, but hate islam. It's the ideology and not the people. Nick Griffin won't say in public against jews, because he's got a political party, which needs to do well in UK elections.

    Why do people insist on dividing themselves? What is a muslim other than a human stating, I'm a muslim. I think people can identify as they choose, but why choose to identity with Islam? The terrorists use Islam as reason to spread violence. No body would even pay attention to Islam if there was no violence. So I think good people will just identify as being human, not muslim ,jew or Christian. If they choose to exclude themselves from normal people, get ready for the ridicule. No one feels sorry for your illusion and dillusional mind. Islam is a simple idea pulled from thin air, and is violent on top of that. Social proof makes people believe in strange ideas.

    "it [the Quran] says put Ur wifes before yourself" No it doesn't. The Quran says you can hit your wife if she behaves arrogantly (verse 4:34), it says women are "tilth" that you may fertilize as you please (2:223), and it says men are a "degree above" women in rights (2:228). "and to love your neighbor before yourself" Nope, the Quran says you should fight disbelievers until they are "subdued" (9:29) and that you may be "harsh" to the disbelievers (48:29).

  • @iby914
    @iby9148 жыл бұрын

    Nick, I implore you to read the Qur'an with an open heart. Nowhere does it say to tree your neighbours harshly. On the contrary Muslims are to look after their neighbours. As for imposing your beliefs on others that is again forbidden as the Qur'an states there shall be no compulsion in religion. “We have appointed a law and a practice for every one of you. Had God willed, He would have made you a single community, but He wanted to test you regarding what has come to you. So compete with each other in doing good. Every one of you will return to God and He will inform you regarding the things about which you differed.” 5:48. As you can see God created us all differently and with different beliefs. Lastly Muslims are to treat non Muslims with respect: “God does not forbid you from being good to those who have not fought you in the religion or driven you from your homes, or from being just towards them. God loves those who are just.” 60:8.

    Really? Islam teaches that to disagree with or even reinterpret the Koran’s 6000 odd verses, organized into 114 chapters or Suras and dealing as fully with law and politics as with matters of faith, is punishable by death. Islamic authorities of all the major branches of Islam hold that the Koran must be read so that the parts written last override the others. This so-called theory of abrogation means that the ruling parts of the Koran are those written after Muhammad went to Medina in 622 A.D. Specifically, they are Suras 8 and 9, which are not the Suras containing the verses often cited as proof of Islam’s peacefulness. Sura: 8:12 "I will strike terror into the hearts of the unbelievers so cut off their heads, cut off every fingertip of them" 8:39 "Make war on them until idolatry is no more and Allah's religion reigns supreme" 8:67 " It is not for any prophet to have captives until he has made slaughter in the land" 9:2:3 Allah will humble the unbelievers, Allah and his apostle are free from obligations to idol-worshippers. Proclaim a woeful punishment to the unbelievers" 9:5 "When the sacred months are over, slay the idolaters wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them and lie in ambush everywhere for them" 9:28 " Believers know that idolaters are unclean" Al-Bukhari Vol 8, Book 82, Hadith 795 “The prophet cut off the hands and feet of the men belonging to the tribe of Uraina.” Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol 4, Book 53, Hadith 392 “You should know that the earth belongs to Allah and his apostle, and I want to expel you from this land.” Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol 4, Book 53, Hadith 386 “Our Prophet, the Messenger of our Lord, has ordered us to fight you until you worship Allah alone...” Sura 5:51 "Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends." Sura 9:12 "...make war on the leaders of unbelief...Make war on them: God will chastise them at your hands and humble them. He will grant you victory over them..." Sura 9:27 "Fight against such as those to whom the Scriptures were given [Jews and Christians]...until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued." Sura 9:121 "Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Deal firmly with them These are but a very, very tiny fraction of the numerous injunctions that Islam's followers are obliged to conform to regarding the level of "tolerance" they are permitted to extended to people who do not accept Islam. Islam is the most dangerous of the three Abrahamic religions and for the sake of the preservation of the remnants of occidental civilization Islam should be proscribed on the grounds of its intolerance of other faiths. If Islam is not contained we will eventually see ladies stoned in Britain if accused of adultery or being lashed to the point of death for having been the victims of rape! Other uncivilized Islamic practises such as the cutting off of hands and feet will also come with Sharia. While on the subject, if one views the decalogue (Ten Commandments) we see the savage origins of the basis of Sharia Please do not construe this as an attack but rather see it as a dire warning to any who might be deceived into thinking Islam equals peace and tolerance in a universal fraternal brotherhood that has, or affords any remote semblance of respect or tolerance for those who do not accept the teachings of Islam.

    "Really?" Yes really. You and I know you haven't read the Qur'an in its entirety or bothered to read the tafsirs regarding those particular verses. Because if you did you would know those verses were targeted at a certain people at a certain time in history. Take the verse about smiting fingers and necks. If you read the verses preceding and following that one, you would know it was the ANGELS who were ordered to smite the fingers and the necks. That's one example. But anyway, nice cut and paste job. It's a shame you can't formulate your own views and ideas but take it from other people instead. As for Islam being the most dangerous of all the Abraham ic faiths you may want to pick up the Bible. Now then, where shall we start? There's so much to choose from. Let's start with these explicit orders given by God to carry out genocide. "So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin." Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan." Judges 21: 10- 24. Also what about the order God gave to Moses with regards to the Midianites? How he was ordered to tell his men to kill all men and boys and women who were not virgins. But to save the virgins and young girls for their war captives to rape as they pleased? "Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man." Numbers 31:17-18. Now if God is Jesus and vice versa it was Jesus who ordered Moses to carry out this genocide. Not so compassionate as you make out huh? I'll provide you with many more extreme cases cruelty and barbarism found in the Bible. We have rape, women subjugation, incest, out right pornographic verses, murder, theft the list goes on. Oh but Muslims, Muslims are so evil aren't they? You may want to consider that saying about glass houses.

    You are wrong, the verses are open ended, they put no time limit on the actions but leave it there for perpetuity. As for the bible, the same theory of abrogation applies here too. So the New Testament overrides the Old Testament with a new covenant. Tell me, yes or no, does Satan lie?

In fact, the original teachings of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity are very similar. All you need to do is read them in context and understand some of the metaphorical meanings. Don't take verses of the Qur'an out of context!

    Nick Griffin read the Quran but did not understand it. Why doesn't he go to a scholar to understand the extracted meanings of the Quran? This is called the Tafseer. Without understanding Tafseer you cannot understand the the Quran. Every verse in the Quran has a meaning, one short verse can have up to 20 pages of Tafseer.

    Lol first of all, ALLAH isnt cursing in that verse. He is saying how deluded are the people that they Ezra is the son of ALLAH and that Jesus is son of ALLAH. When ezra or Jesus never claimed to be the sons of God and the people say that they are, then it is clearly a delusion. So ALLAH isnt cursing :) Secondly you have taken it out of context as the context of being harsh towards disbelievers is in a state of war as the Chapters name is the victory lol :)
