Electro is a special element, which can cut through space and time. The Raiden Shogun has the ability to do that with her gnosis because she is the archon of electro and eternity. That is why when she summons stormy eye of judgment or masou de hitotachi, it can create slashes that look like galaxy.

While yes you are right about electro,The Raiden Shogun never used her gnosis she gave it to Miko a long time ago you google it if you don't believe me, she is just naturally that strong.
