BNC#6: Hersov Q&A - Gayton McKenzie, coalition governments, SA investment climate and more
In a dynamic dialogue with entrepreneur and [retired] political activist Rob Hersov at BNC#6 in Hermanus, the BizNews favourite delved into the intricacies of South Africa's political landscape and the impending 29 May elections. Hersov emphasised the potential formation of coalitions, foreseeing a delicate balance between the ANC, DA, and Patriotic Alliance. He underlined the paramount importance of protecting property rights to avert economic collapse and also touched on foreign influences, economic strategies, and the role of leadership in advocating for change.

Listening to Rob and reading some of the comments I realised one thing about this country, we are a racially divided country and are possibly regressing back to racial segregation of some sort. We are obsessed with wanting to choose sides( DA vs EFF or PA) instead of asking ourselves one simple question, how can we create a South Africa that will work every one irrespective of where they come from. We must be honest about whom amongst needs more help and assistance. Create an environment of equal opportunity for all. Remember win or lose ,a war will always have casualties on both sides……
@RungeCarl

I differ. What the ANC and the EFF have not understood is that South Africans and I speak of mainly young South africans, do NOT regard skin colour as important. That has been the miracle change that few understand. In short, we are all tied of race classification dressed up however you ,like i.e BEEE and all what we want is the rule of law and opportunity to better ourselves.

That is a misconception. It is those like Ipsos, Brenthurst, Frans Cronje & political analysts who suggest it could happen. A utopia that could thrive in South Africa is a monarchy(KINGDOM), neither socialism nor capitalism. For capitalism to function, poverty must exist, and socialism has been proven not to succeed. With a monarchy in South Africa led by a righteous family, we could witness the nation's advancement. We must prevent colonizers from interfering in South Africa and allow South Africans to address their own issues. We possess the necessary resources, particularly our people, to develop this country into a first-world nation. While we can consider advice from Europe, Britain, and America, ultimate decision-making should rest with us. Once again, a monarchy is the ideal solution for South Africa; it is the only utopia that could function effectively.
My estimated election results after 29/05/2024 are as follows: 1. ANC - 39% 2. DA - 28% 3. EFF - 15% 4. MK - 11% 5. FF+ - 7% 6. IFP - 4% The ANC, EFF, and MK are expected to form a coalition government in which the South African President will be Panyaza Lesufi from the ANC and his Deputy President will be Julius Malema. Furthermore, Jacob Zuma's court cases are anticipated to be dropped.
