I purchased the full 16 speaker upgrade for my f15 x5 HK system. I’m not gonna lie, at first after install it doesn’t sound like an upgrade in sound. You have to give the system some time to break in, after the break in period the bavsound speakers come alive. These speakers are so clear an louder, you don’t have to crank it up as much as the old speakers. No distortion at all, I will recommend doing sound treatment to the doors an unseat sub

Seicane on e93 is similar to installing a bowl of vomit and poo in the dash that allows you to use a backup camera and MHD, Waze on the nav screen. It's a good package that allows you to annihilate your ipod functionality, ipod sound, ipod detection and control with the steering wheel...and also a great way to annihilate access to the stock BMW interface that alllows you to read oil levels, reset tire pressure sensors etc...

Still a good upgrade for the rest of the system, you might just have to get custom subs. There's a guy in Georgia that makes a bunch of them for E46 wagons

The simplest BMW speaker upgrade is literally just getting a BMW that comes with the harmon kardon package like my E46, then get a amp and harmon kardon subs and a nice head unit and call it a day

Is there a cheaper alternative? I don't mind soldering stuff and it doesn't need to be that good. My stock 22 year old speakers are completely shot

240K? Low mile creampuff. My 280k 1999 528i Touring and I just did a 14 hour drive last sunday, 90 and 100 deg temps and 80 mph the entire way and I had to turn down the A/C because I was getting cold. BMW = Beast Machine. WHAAAT?

I tried putting my after market stereo in my e 56 but I can’t hear anything. ? Is there a special wire or harness you need? Like do you have to use the antenna?

Regarding what you said about "copyright issues" preventing you from playing music, there is what's known as a "fair use" exemption that allows you to play brief clips of music without being sued. This is legally protected by federal law that allows you to briefly play a song without fear of being sued by record companies. Please look up "fair use" for more information.

I dont understand why you would want to replace the speakers when most of the e46s come with a harmon kardon set.....

really love your channel but i was expecting for something more diy. The bavsound is the easy way to go with and they have plenty of videos how to install their speakers. I was expecting for how to install something after market cheaper than bavsound with the same quality. I can't find information of what it fits or not in our cars, so i can order lets say a sony or pioneer or jvc good quality speakers in more logic prices than 400 dollars...

Not at all. It’s extremely easy. If you have all the basic tools it’s maybe a 3 hour job to do every speaker. I did it last weekend.

No offence, but, wouldn't it be easier to put the speaker in the door and then glue it?

BAVSound is useless for me. Got an E46 Compact but no luck with a kit for my car.

Talking about the audio quality while having the worst echo in the shop...
