BMW S1000rr Wrecked Bike Rebuild ( PT. 8 Steering Stem BEARING replacement)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I bought a 2013 BMW S1000rr from Built from the bottom that was a project of his from a while ago that he lost interest in so I picked it up for $3000! the BMW does have a salvage and 50k or more miles so it'll be interesting for sure! y'all stay tuned for upcoming videos on the S1000rr. SO CJ media and I tore down the bmw s1000rr, inspected it, and got it running! Then last video I took the bike outside to a tree and tied it to it then proceed to hook a heavy duty ratchet strap to my truck and use it to BEND my sub-frame back because it was bent in the wreck! I repaired the S1000rr Instrument cluster that had a damaged stepper motor! I install the new timing chain cover and engine case sliders, new rear set, and repaired the little plastic cover to the ignition. I replaced the front brakes and flushed all the lines to make sure it stops like a top! I bought a new rear wheel and installed a new tire on it (because I damaged the bead on the used tire) also I bought the quick shifter rod so now it's able to shift finally! I purchased a new used tank off ebay for $130 and sanded it down and painted it black also I added GOLD flake into the clear coat! I sanded down the gas cap and cerokoted it black. Now in this video I pulled the front end off and replaced the steering stem bearing!

Lock front brake lever & torque brake calipers THEN torque front axle pinch bolts 👍

It’s honestly so satisfying watching you break things down and then put them back together. Says a lot about your editing as well, keep it up!

Phenomenal work Ben! I would love to see this bike hit 6 digits on the dash for the OD. Also way to go on all the tourque specs 👊

Surely you need to centre the forks by compressing the front forks before you tighten pinch bolts?

You can 100% Reuse that steering stem bud. Wire brush clean the threads and your back in action. Hope it comes out good for ya bud.

Well the cleanliness isn’t the problem, part of the threads were completely missing. But it when I put it back together it held together fine.
