My favourite is the R 60/2 from 1968. Great bike.

Had one in the late 70's - and sold it. Darn.

I had a 1966 R60 and a 1967 R69S BMW. Sadly, we will never see these days again. I certainly miss the BMW R69S.

Well, dash it all ... now I've gotta get a towel and clean my computer keyboard. I just drooled all over it... IMHO, the /3 is THE most beautiful bike BMW ever built. Thank you so much, for showing this magnificent example!

Quick question, gang: I've got a frame like this, but no rear shock assemblies for it. Anyone know where to get some, if they even still exist?

Actally BMW was not the first to fit the telescopic fork (Not hydraulic) to their bikes. Nimbus beat BMW by a year. However, the BMW fork had hydraulic damping, while the Nimbus only had that from 1939 on.
