BMW R1250 GS Tire Replacement and Balance

In this video I show you how easy it is to replace your worn out tire and to properly balance your tire for a super smooth ride. Takes less time than driving to and from the shop to have them replace thee tire and saves $90 (At least in my area).
The tools that I used are found below. They all worked very well and I paid for them with my own money.

Very nice. I have a big GS and was quoted about 400 to buy and have a new rear tire installed by the dealer. I know their time is worth the money. But at that rate it looks like I can get teh tire I wanted and all the equipment to install it myself and then have it be cheaper in the future since I have the equipment. Doesn't look too hard! Thanks for making this video, very informative!

You can likely also replace it yourself in the same amount of time you would waste driving to the dealer. Thank you for watching!

Well done video. Not my bike but cool learning how a Big GS rear wheel works. I was watching how to lace the spokes on the rear wheel of a GS 😮 Glad mine are cast 21 F 750 GS.

Well, if I am having to lace the spokes on my front or rear wheel, I obviously had bigger problems. 😀 thanks for watching!

    One word............ LUBE

Well done video... I would also suggest tire shop lube. No worries about it getting on the tread, it will rinse off with water. Soapy water works, but not nearly as well. It would halve your already impressive install time.

You are correct that the tire lube works much better. Thank you for watching.

The old tires were Karoo 3 by Metzler and the new ones were continental TKC 70 Rocks. Thank you for watching.
