That’s a good idea. That would save you from moving the bleeder bag from brake to brake.

When it says to activate the brakes, what do they want - both hand levers and foot at the same time, or what? Thanks!

The GS-911 walks you through the process. You basically are working on one brake at a time. When it’s time to activate that brake, you pull in and release the brake multiple times in a short time period. The GS-911 tells you how long to operate each brake. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for the feedback. The off-road permit is on the GS. It’s needed to ride in certain areas.

The GS-911 allows you to actuate the ABS pump. I’m told that you can also use the Motoscan app with a generic OBD device. I recall a good write in the BMW MOA magazine earlier this year.

Hi, Another question. At 9:30 in, rear reservoir is filled but cap is left off, then proceed to pump front brakes. Since front brake lever works both front and rear brakes, is there any “fluid burping up”, and should rear reservoir cap be on to prevent splashing? Thanks again.

No, no splashing or burning. I left it off because you need to add fluid throughout the process. Thanks for the comment!

Similar process and similar bleeder sizes on the 1250GS I assume?

Yes, identical. I have a 1250 brake bleed video coming out in a few weeks. But, yes, same same.

@frbaluch1 Maybe you can find someone in your local club that will lend you one.

Do you need to flush again after the second abs activation with the 911? I remember doing something similar with my Super Tenere and you needed to flush again after activating the abs pump because you might still have some residual bubbles and old brake fluid now in the brake lines. I have an RT now and need to learn how to do it. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for the comment. The GS-911 software walks you through the process on exactly what needs to be done. In my opinion, it’s the Speed Bleeders that really make the job easy!

I got the bag along with the valves from speedbleeder.com.

Help please! Without noticing I went below the minimum level bleeding front brakes. Front brakes now won't work. What can be done besides take it to the dealer?

You’re okay - just keep bleeding the brakes until you flush out all the air (making sure to keep the reservoir full). If you need more help drop me an email at kurt@pacmototours.com and I can discuss with you over the phone.

@@PacMoto Thanks so much! I got it working, it wasn’t bleeding either. I used a syringe with some tubing on the nipples and sucked the fluid and the air bubbles. It works perfect now. Your videos are really helpful!
