BMW M4 GT4 Testing at Monza Circuit: Accelerations, Downshifts & Sound!

After three years from its unveil and after a couple of times where I was able to take some shots but not enough to put together a dedicated video of it, I finally managed to record a decent video about a BMW M4 GT4 of the BMW Team Italia during a test session here in Monza last week.
The M4 GT4 is directly derived from the street-legal M4 but it features all the adjustments and mods required to be raced in the GT4-class. The engine is the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-6 linked to the 7-speed dual clutch transmission you find on the street-legal car. Of course most of the work has been done on the setup, suspensions, reducing the weight and adding the those few aerodynamic devices allowed. I watch GT4 races online and on the broadcast they don't sound like this at all. This sounds great. is it the muted sound because of the commentary or does this have a different exhaust ?

Sì, ma Monza ha dato la possibilità a fotografi e videomaker di poter inviare una richiesta di accredito per avere un pass che non è servito solo per andare a bordo pista ma anche poter entrare in autodromo

at least not like a commercial i6… tone of this beast is a lot more rough and untamed than the normal M4 and I love it :))
Race cars become quiet, & you guys keep complaining "it is not loud! ". And then they make it louder but sounds different, you keep it complaining by " It doesn't sound good! " Such a salty yet endless unsatisfied human you guys are.

Personally I love the sound! When I had my 335i I always loved how Ms sounded and now that I have an M4 I can’t get over it. N55s and B58s sound nice but they’re kinda overhyped. Absolutely raw sound from the S55

Its farty as fk.... there is only one inline engine that sounds good... 5 zylinder. BMWs inline 6 never sounded good.... same fartcan crap as every other 4-inline built.
Literally the same sound of a regular M4 with custom exhaust, just louder lawn-mower noises with the same farts on shift. People claiming this sounds great have never heard a proper GT4 car...
