Dang that sounds good 🤤

Hey man! Saw this on the forums and I must admit I think it might have changed my mind about what exhaust to go with. I also have an LCI with an AA dp. I was about to get an MPE because I liked how it make the car sound deeper and less raspy but this one sounds even better. How’s the volume Compared to the stock exhaust? I’ve been running my stock exhaust and AA dp with the valves left open for a while and I’m looking for some more volume. How would you say it compares?

Hey! Yeah this setup is basically like running your valves open at all times. For volume, it's definitely louder during cold starts. During normal driving I would say probably 25% louder inside the cabin compared to valves opened with stock exhaust and AA downpipes. Highway cruising is about the same. Some drone if you are giving throttle in 8th gear at highway speed (like going up hill). To compare with my stock setup, there was very faint drone in the same situation but the AWE exhaust makes it slightly louder. Only downside I see is that the driver's side mid-pipe might need readjustment in the future if it touches the mid-brace. If it does, I'll bring it back it for readjustment and ask if they can add spacers or washers to the mid-brace to give more clearance. Let me know if you have anymore questions!

@@tntrieu so how about volume outside of the car after things are warmed up and you are driving around? Would you say the exhaust is 25% louder than the original stock exhaust and AA dp with the valves open? Also, I have heard about the mid-brace issue. Were you able to install where you didn’t hear vibrations? That’s one of my primary concerns when comparing to the MPE where it’s a much simpler install with less piping

@@mitchvez1092 Hard to objectively quantify it but my wife who recorded these videos said its 200% louder 😅. But I would say it's at least 25% louder outside. In the video the pulls were around 4k RPM. No vibrations nor leaks so far. If needed I heard that adding washers/spacers should resolve any issues with the mid-brace. The AWE exhaust system doesn't really have mufflers as the ones at the every are more of resonator with no sound deadening material. Unsure of the ones before the 180 resonators if you get the resonated version. So in theory this system should be louder than MPE since it seems that still uses a traditional muffler.
