These cars sound like shit when you chop up the exhaust. They need full cat back systems on them.

Damn that straight pipe on the M4 sounds nutty. Sooooo nice. The m3 sounds great as well. Still nice bit quiter sound. Such great cars.

Def need to get systems for these bracket of cars…does a whole lot more for a cleaner sound

The M3 Comp w/ res delete sounds beautiful. The M4 straight pipe sounds fkin mean.

Green sounds like an old Farmall tractor. Blue not much better.

Exhaust systems are way too expensive on m's. Imagine trying to spend 5 grand on a exhaust system after spending 100k on a car

@exoticolors9953 0.5% is $500 btw.. there's still a spending logic difference between people who are actual car enthusiasts and those who just buy these cars to enjoy. Let's be real 5% of a 100k car is still a lot of money. With 5 grand u can use the money for better things. Especially for those who have wife and kids. But for gear heads there are no spending limits to car parts. And yea u can get your money back by selling on forums, fbmarketplace or at car meets, it is still difficult to resell any car part that's above 5k. This is also why lots of bmw guys into newer m's call it a day with dp and tune.

yeah my bad lol. but i agree that money could be used for better things. you could always opt for the higher end exhaust (if they make one and the car doesn’t have it already) and just add that to the payments, but essentially i think of it as not ideal to be cutting corners on a car this expensive. it makes more sense to avoid the car all together if paying for the things you want on it cost too much. thats why i love my good old american c6 z06. parts and labor are much cheaper and i get good cheap power out of it.

They should, i always do when i do my exhausts with high temp paint. I live in Canada and they never rust.

Res delete was fine but that straightpipe is a little too raspy.

The first one sound better at idle till you rubbed it. That's when it sound like garbage. The second one is a little worse than the first. Both a waste of money.

Yeah I would not delete resonators or straight pipe anything lol. Just do a muffler delete and you’re all set for the most part.

Resonators are literally what give the exhaust a nice tone. One you delete resonators, it gets raspy as there’s nothing to cancel out the bad noise frequencies that come naturally.

He moved up there. He showed his car. It’s a white charger with a 6.4. He said he has been busy. I guess he hasn’t been on KZread a lot anymore.

He payed all that money for something he sounds rather disappointed with in the color. I could never, honestly... Oh well, wrap time baby! Edit: The GPS on the dash looks so good, almost like a video game.

What’s the point of comparing 2 different motors with 2 different exhaust setups…

I gotta be honest. I love the look of these cars (I’m very meh on the beaver teeth grille though). But the sound is SUCH a huge turn off. Completely turned me away from getting one. But man do they look absolutely nuts.

The sound could easily be fixed the cheaper way by a single or equal length mid pipe, or if you have money to burn, a single turbo conversion

I literally had cash in hand to buy a brand new m4. Loved everything but the exhaust tone. So I opted for a used 440I. Saved 40k and I love the exhaust tone. That’s very important to me to have a good sounding car. The m3 and m4 sound like a straight piped ford eco boost. One of the worst exhaust sounds on earth. The m guys will tell you that an equal length pipe will eliminate it but it’s still there trust me.

The M4 needs a diagnosis, that blue smoke is no good.

181 MILES ON A DAMN NEAR FULL TANK! Oh nah, my Acura TL 6 speed manual still would have 250 miles or so. At full top, It almost reaches 400 miles on 1 tank.(working on that now. Needs a tune up)
