BMW K100 Dakar Tribute - November Customs

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

After their hugely popular Kawasaki Zephyr 750 build which we featured last year, we had to get Paul from @novembercustoms down again once he showed us what they had created from a neglected BMW K100.
Inspired by the R80 GS Paris-Dakar bike of the 80’s, they took this build further and further to build a scrambler with more off-road capability than it’s normally used to.
Probably the most striking part of the build is the cosmetic touches, Paul couldn’t resist throwing in the famous ‘Marlboro’ livery in on the bike too after nostalgic sentiment from the models he made of it in his teens.
While you’re here don’t forget to check out the aforementioned Kawasaki build. Link below.

Hi Paul, the bikes running great it’s a real credit to you, since I brought the bike it has been very much admired, I know you built it as a tribute bike but it really is better looking than what BMW did. The sound is very pleasing to the ears and I am sure my neighbours think so to 😁. All the best. Chris.

Love the k100 engine and by removing the original tail pipe and clocks you probably reduced the the weight by 50%. I want it!

Helped a neighbor in San Francisco in 01 do a Dakar Marlbro tribute out of an 1100GS. Ironically he put 17's to make it into a proper supermotard, which made it that much cooler considering how limited it was offroad and the fact that he used it as an urban commuter.

Good looking bike! I would just add some kind of side panel under the seat as well, for some reason i think it would go better with the style of the bike than the exposed frame, but still love it!

Those front Brembos were about the best calipers back in the day, last of the Laverdas, Guzzis and Ducatis all ran them, a lot on cast iron discs too. Wonderful caliper.

For sure this is not one of those messed-up wrecked poor bikes that so often are shown on other channels, thumbs up for you! One thing you have forgotten: you did not show the clever popup lever to help you putting the bike on its central stand. One thing left to do: going to a good auto parts shop, buy a good spray to revive plastics and healing those filthy krauti-devouring handlebar switches! 😆😆😆 Again: good job!

The K100 bikes go 0-60 in under 4 seconds (k100rs), stock. They aren't Hayabusa's, but if you hit the sweet spot in the power curve, you will have to hold on tight.
