The car looks great in this color! Beauty justifies some suffer - if it indeed needs more maintenance. Not sure about Extended Back, makes the grills even larger optically. But from all-grey/black design language that suits well. Have fun with the car, I'm heavily enjoying my iX3! :)

That's a really great presentation of many of the functions which I would like to adjust on our car which is only a week old. As regards the Comfort setting for opening the boot with yr foot, that irritatingly doesn't work on our car at all which is really frustrating as it was an important function for my wife, in particular. That apart it's still a great car! Look forward to yr next presentation.

Just give it one kick straight forward and it should work. Not sideways. If you have that function. I know other BMW models in Sweden that don’t get it because of lack of components.

I'm especially interested in the possibility to precondition the temperature inside the car remotely. Also, if you could show an example of how the car sends a notification on your smartphone in case of attempted burglary/theft (for example have someone shake the car while parked to simulate such condition). @@swede-365 My wife has one on order due March. I currently have an 2020 M340i and learned a few things e.g ventilation mode with the sunroof / screen. Didn’t know about that. Looking forward to seeing how the augmented satnav works in real life. Looks really good. Also like how they’ve improved the assisted driving where you can now set the cornering speed, always feels too slow in my car so interesting to see you’ve set to fast.

One question that pops into my mind is the general firmness/comfort of the ride on the 20 inch wheels. Have you got the m adaptive suspension? Actually the car handles very well and is really fun to drive. The fast mode is not “fast”, the other alternatives are very slow 😊

Hi, really nice and comprehensive overview. I am waiting on my X1 xDrive30e Hybrid, similar to yours. Fully loaded, same color, black mirrors. How do wash your car, as Frozen grey, could be difficult to clean? Space silver was not available in October.

It’s protected with Gyeon ceramic coating for matte colours so really easy to clean.

Many thanks for your time. I also have ordered an iX1, coming round May. However, I am not too happy with the small 65 KWh battery. For such money I d expect 85 KWh. I have an i4 so know how efficient the drivetrain is but still, it is a tall SUV with a small battery. Not sure whether I ll go for it in the end.

In its favour, if the range figures hold, its efficient enough to not be any worse than the AWD versions current Volvo XC40 P8 or the C40 model. But those vehicles will probably be getting larger batteries, just as the polestar 2 is, to deal with their lack of range.

It’s not stiff at all in normal driving mode. In sport mode more stable but not stiff there either.But Nordic friction tyres are very soft so maybe different with summer tyres.

Good video. One thing I will do when my UK iX1 eventually arrives is create a new Spotify account as part of our bigger Spotify family plan. Without that, whenever my wife is driving the car and turned on Spotify, their "one user -one speaker" policy would kill Spotify in my office. It's a failing of Spotify-and if you have capacity in a Spotify family account, best to start it off in a way which doesn't create tension in the household.

how have the rims managed in the winter? considering the same setup where I just change the tires. Would you have done anything different today? I live in Denmark, so have more or less the same climate, just a bit more mild.😉

Thanks for great videos! I have a question, found in the X1 user manual that it could have a garage door opener integrated into the rearview mirror. But there is no mention of it in the pricelist, so wondering if it is available in EU-models. Do you have it in your iX1?

Yes, it only uses the lumbar support for massage.

Do you know if this car has Accounts? If I set up the car my way and my wife wants to drive it after me, I'm sure we'll use absolutely different settings, and having like accounts will help a lot.

I’m almost ready to order my BMW IX1 edrive20. But I’m confused about the driving assistant options. At this point I understood that I will need the driving assistant and assistant plus to have all the options I need/want. But there is also the driving assistant professional option. Can you explain the difference? I read the brochure ten times but the terms and wording are a little confusing to me. Only if needed I will spent the extra amount of money. For example the auto lane change is an option that is not important for me to have. Is pro needed for handsfree driving? I hope you are able too explain this to me. Thank you in advance.

Described as helps the driver stay in the middle of the lane with corrective steering movement in the speed range of 0 - 180 km/h. Is this only staying in lane but not in corners? Can anyone confirm if the new X1 and Active Tourer have monthly “subscriptions” to access their features? Someone told me they do and that really puts me off every having another BMW. Not paying a monthly fee for heated seats etc!

Some of the options are software only you can buy outright or subscribe to. Example: adaptive headlights. I will just get these things outright for long term cost savings and some residual value in resale. What I don't know is how much the connectivity services cost per month...

you are not forced to pay monthly for heated seats. you can buy them from inside the car (the hardware is installed) and have them forever (and the next owner also gets them). the ideea behind this subscription is that it is useful for countries where you only need heated seats for one or two months per year. it makes sense to pay only for those months.
