I've had two flat tires on my i3 now. Both in my winter tires and both times needed to remove the tire to find and repair the hole. Plugged them both and no problems with either since. In fact -- because we don't have a spare tire in the i3 I always keep a plug set and compressor and jack in my frunk. Even if I got a flat on my summer tires I think I'd still plug it instead of taking it to a tire shop and paying for the repair and the requisite tire balance.

I've noticed the I3 likes to eat tires rather it's the alignment and they wear too quickly or it just picks up random crap off the road, it goes through tires really quickly.

I have a screw in my new i3 rear tire. It’s about 1” inside from the edge of the tire, the tire shop said it’s too close to patch. I asked if I could plug it myself and they said it’s up to me. It’s been about two weeks and the screw is no longer leaking air….so I think I’m going to just leave it alone. Any thoughts?
