I dont get why some people are complaining about the sound?! I think it sounds so much like an E46 M3 which sounded awesome!

it's recently been discovered that the m4 sounds this way because they exhaust has unequal lengths before they join. People have begun making their own exhausts for a much smoother sound

I think I'm the only one who likes that sound hehehe. This exhaust should be on the standard M3/M4 even it being much louder.

I definitely like how raw the exhaust note is ... who cares about tone, it’s a race car! Send it!

I have also tested the GT4, at Nurburgring. Amazing car and very easy to drive fast. The brakes are very easy to control and powerful. We got to play with the "golden" Stick meaning the car was making 500 hp, a lot more than the GT4 spec. We've been driving the M4 Competition before and after, but I felt much more at ease in the GT4. Could have driven it the whole day.

I don't believe the GT4 only makes 431 in Competition format. It definitely makes much more. It accelerates harder than an M4 GTS, and is 8 to 10 seconds a lap quicker, even on a circuit like Spa with the long sections. An M4 CS, tuned to 600hp, with aero, suspension, and brake mods, is still slower than the M4 GT4 on circuit. There is no way that the GT4 only makes 431hp when homologated for the GT4 class. Absolutely no way. I believe it makes the full 500hp. However, it has a very linear throttle map, great aero, and electronics at harmony with the car, so it's much easer to drive than the road car, while still feeling like an M4, but a very precise, very powerful, and very focussed M4.

I think this is the true sounds of BMW M4, stock exhaust sound like artificially synthesized, it's like they got fuel injection System in the exhaust pipe.

Is there a reason why they didn't use the M4 platform for GT3? Sure the Bentley Continental GT battleship runs in GT3...but BMW didn't want to go with the smaller and lighter chassis instead of the M6?

Such an ugly sound but I love it so much, imo it sounds a lot like some older m power dtm cars from some angles

About 2 minutes in, all i started to hear was long farts. BMW has managed to create the worst sounding i6 in history. I almost prefer listening to a ricer, at least its humorous.

@JP - the car was not running ok, or he was off the power band and did not change the gears as it should. When I drove it, it made wonderful sounds.

@@lighteningbolt6397 finally a comment worth responding to. I couldn't agree more. It's amazing the difference in sound with different plumbing arrangements. Think 911 turbo vs gt3. My e36 m3 never sounded great to me with true duals like it had from factory. I put a y pipe after the headers into a single 3" exhaust, and it sounds glorious! Some equal length headers and I'll be all set.

@@JP-ug1xr you should search up bmw m4 single turbo ( simply car things have made a review/ meet up with the owner) it sounds like a 2jz and the kit for it is on sale at 4n motorsports
