It's so difficult getting the bottom clips off, that's what I'm struggling with

I did this and I can't close my bonnet now, any suggestions it shuts but doesn't lock won't go down far enough

Are the edges of the bumper top tucked in underneath the tab in the headlights, or did that get missed and they're on top of the headlights?

The G20 style kidney grills are also available for the F22. Search "F22 Diamond Style Grill" on eBay.

Do you have to take the top screws off? Or can you reach in with a tool and unclip the clips

Yeah you need to remove the top screws along the bumper. Even if you tried to use a hook/U-shaped tool to release the clips you won't be able to see where they are without opening the top up. The force required to release the tabs on the clips would make it really difficult for a tool too.

The sides dip in too much when trying to realign after with the hood. Any tips how to raise the edges?

Is the center good, or is the whole hood a bit high? You can adjust the hood to sit lower at the latches on the hood.

@@FaRKle0079 the centre is fine it’s the edges which sit lower than the hood. I’ve shorten the hook almost to max on one side and it’s still a bit under. Any lower the hood struggles to close. There these black turning nobs also near the hook quite tough to turn. Do you know what they do?

How the heck do you reach the bottom clips? I have an X2 and couldn’t reach at all.

I pulled back the bumper from the top and reached down. X2 might have a longer reach from the top of the bumper to those clips.

My neighbor had a metal grinder that we used to cut up the old grills. Was still a very frustrating and painful procedure. Without breaking the old grill I can’t imagine how anyone could get the x2 grill out.
