BMW E91 3-Series Wagon: Why So Little Depreciation?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I took a break from my regular channel content to make a review of my car, a 2008 BMW 328i Sports Wagon - model code E91. I've had this car for 5 years and have really enjoyed owning it. It's been quite reliable (for a BMW) and fairly affordable to maintain (for a BMW). This 328i Touring was in a front end collision in 2015, sold salvage at auction, and received a new hood, front bumper, passenger front fender, headlights, radiator, and core support. Exterior changes include an M3 style front bumper, post-LCI headlights, and "blackline" tail lights.
I personally have changed out all of the front suspension components on this car and the rear shocks. I've also changed all fluids, replaced the water pump, and assisted an expert with the replacement of the evaporator core. Let me know in the comments if you have any maintenance-related questions about this car, or just questions about long-term ownership in general. Thanks for watching!

I have a 2008 328xi wagon with single hump, sport package, comfort access, xenon headlights and brown leather interior. Absolutely perfect spec to me. Just hit 200k, meticulously maintained and looks better than most cars at 100k. Nice review.

Fun review! I have a 2006 e91 manual awd and can’t imagine selling it. At 262,000 it still purrs and I’m hearing that it should go up in value over time due to its rarity. The best thing I did was install the lemforder (stock) front end kit on it. The steering is as tight as new now.

great video, wish there were more youtube reviews on the E91 but you nailed it! I bought my 2011 out of state, deep sea blue metallic over saddle brown interior, single hump (no nav), sports package. I drive a 2011 E91 with 80,000 miles. I bought it with 60,000 miles and I haven’t had any trouble with the car! It’s fun and practical which is what I needed in a car. My one gripe is that the rear seat legroom is pretty pathetic and it is the reason why a mother of 2 sold it to me. The car is also a bit low so some dirt roads I crawl going down, but that’s not where it was meant to be driven

Minor correction: this is not the last German MT wagon sold in the US. VW was selling them until 2020 (AWD and FWD). However, this is the last RWD or rear-biased AWD wagon with an MT ever sold in the US.

Your car has a beautiful color. I love the seperatly opening tail glass. But (like you) I always forget to pull the cover down before closing it. In the facelifted E91 the cover does not open automaticly any more. You have to give the cover a little tip and then it will go up. Maybe you should not have replaced your hood with a post-facelift one. It seems to have left quite an unsightly gap over the kidney grill. But thanks for your interesting video.

My experience has been very positive. Repairs have all been reasonable, especially if you're willing to do them yourself. Certain interior bits like the door handles don't hold up very well, but everything else seems to age very well.

I am debating on getting one found a 2011 with 139k on the odometer. For a decent price black exterior and black interior. Now from my understanding you said it's the N52 inline 6. I thought it would be the N55 inline 6. If so does it really have port injection then? Cause I don't want to mess with direct injection. It's nice but creates its own problems when not pair with port injection also.
