My M5 creeks when going over driveways when the whole chasis flexes. And theres a crazy rattle over certain road conditions at certain speeds that makes my rear passenger speaker grill to rattle. Super relatable video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Very informative vid, as always, the most anoying rattle I've had is from the bc button you talked about, easiest fix is to get a bit of dielectric grease, and just squeeze a bit into the gaps around the button, wipe of the stalk, and you are good for another 100,00kms, 😀

Still lucky that these creaks haven’t turned up yet on our M5, but we do have 1 rattle developing. It seems to come from the rear view mirror near the card reader (Japanese version)… but it doesn’t seem to out always. Also slightly adjusting the mirror seems to silence it… most of the time.

Mines a Japanese import too, my rear view mirror doesn’t make a noise, but I can certainly see it vibrating sometimes which adjusting it seems to stop it. Must be due to the Japanese ones being a fairly large unit with the card reader?

@@MTechGuy yeah the noise just started last few months. It depends on the road, also if we can press the accelerator it doesn’t matter 😂

Does anyone know what level of cabin noise I should be experiencing driving at 80MPH. Should I hear a small amount of wind noise, where is it coming from the windshield or the heater vents? Does anyone know. Also in terms of the rubber windshield seal, does that cause any issue with wind noise / I guess if it leaked air it would also leak water which it isnt

Wind noise from the E60 sunroof seal is not uncommon

Would you say the BMW 130i is expensive to maintain/repair?

It’s probably the most reliable BMW from this era (especially with the N52 engine) but all comes down to how well the car has been maintained and looked after
