Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video, we swap out the stock mechanical radiator fan for an electric radiator fan! Within the process, we remove and replace the front bumper. I also talk about the recent updates for the wagon, including a windshield cowl replacement as well as a valve cover gasket replacement. Hope you enjoy!

You have the best installataion explanation of all the videos Ive seen. Youre the only one who explains that you have to remove the fan sensor from the old shroud to reinstall it with the new fan. Excellent job! I would like to add that I would splice another plug to maintain the auxiliary radiator so you can still continue to have a push and pull air system through your radiator for the one hot day youll be stuck in traffic and youll be blasting your AC. Get another plug from the wrecking yard and splice it in.

The electrical fan is typically safer than the clutch fan because the clutches have been known the seize up and explode the fan blades all over the engine bay

Curious why you would remove the auxiliary fan?? Can you just leave it on? Or does it need to be taken off when you put on the electric fan

Since you are taking the wiring harness from the aux fan for the electric fan, there is not point in having it there blocking airflow to the radiator.

The electric fan runs great! Never had a cooling issue the whole time I’ve had it installed, and it survived a Utah summer. Those electric rad fans are built to do just that. Manual E46’s came with that exact setup from the factory

@@DowntimeMedia yeah I know manuals came with it, but the auto trans cars require extra cooling as the transmission lines run through the radiator.

lam begging you guys don't do it, unless you are in a cold climate area. I am in NC and did my 2005 bmw 330ci auto, back in the fall and worked well through the winter and spring. However as soon as it got hot, the electric fan wasn't able to cool both the AC and the radiator. The car overheated and it burned the fan wires first and then the electric motor. So l swapped it with the one off the auxiliary fan that I took off and that one couldn't cool the car either. So today I began the process for reversing everything to the original. What a pain and expense, but is is better than a blown engine!😢

Sorry to hear that, sounds like your cooling system wasn’t working properly. I’ve been driving in the summer with the AC on full blast and after updating my cooling system I haven’t seen temps move at all.
