I have two of the E46 Facelift. Both are the 320d…One Touring from 2002 in estoril blue and a sedan from 2003 in silver 😊 I really love this cars/engines. They have a low fuel consumption even at speeds above 180…For me the E46 is the last BMW which has the „original“ BMW design :)

mi pushes hard to 190 dosnt go over what could i chancge hmm?
Hey I just got one as my first car and was wondering about the gear ratio. When should I ideally shift gears? I have a 2004. 318d sedan with 5 gears, it does go over 200kmh with a 1,9L 115hp engine. Can someome tell me at what rpm/speed it's best to shift gears from start all the way to top speed? Would appreciate it!

I have same car as you do. It's around 4200 rpm maximum, you have full torque at 1900rpm so you don't need to go above 4k rpm before changing to the next gear. That's for acceleration, but for normal daily driving you can shift up around 2400rpm to keep going and save fuel. Greetings from 2003 touring 318d 😎

@@PlinkerSS Дякую. Вже 2 місяці не можу підібрати,щоб стан був хороший. Хотів 320д на 150 конів але живого нема нічого.Знайшов на 115 к.с. 318д, але смушає потужність,в мене фокус 1.6 на 115к.с,то виходить ,що різниці не буде.
I know 18d-s from 2004 ar common rails. But what about those which were produced before that?

Before 2003 it was powered by vp44 fuel pump, after 2003 its common rail.
