It’s been a while since I posted the update on my project e31 8 series. As most of you are aware I have swapped s62 engine on my early 840ci which was feeling little sorry for itself and needed reviving and what's better to get her back to life is to give her a engine from bmw z8 which shares the same engine as the e39 m5.
This video is to capture how the engine conversion went and beginning of phase two which is installing the pandem body kit.
There's loads of tasty parts which is getting upgraded on this 8 series such as 6 pot big brake from BMW 135i and big brake discs. Electric brake booster from Jaguar i-pace which shares the same booster on a Tesla gen1. we are also installing Recaro wing back seats from Audi R8 and customising the seat belts. we have also installed the spoiler/wing from Mitsubishi Evo 7. Air intake boxes from e31 850i to keep the engine looking like oem. Exhaust is customised from e92 m3 and LSD differential from e60 m5.
