Me too, I've loved it since I was 17 years old when my dad bought a 6 year old '91 318is. I've had 5 in total, and I'm sure more in the future. Such a good car!

I am from Mexico and I have one from 1990 in a excellent shape, It was my first car an I have been working in it for 10 years now. It's freedom what I feel when I drive it. Everybody look my car and I can see the desire in their eyes.

I learned to drive with a 1987 BMW 316. I drove it for eight years and it was one of my best choices in life. 💖😍

Couldn't imagine that even in the late 80s so much manual processes involved making a e30...timeless masterpiece, carries the craftsmanship of the people built it many decades later
These cars had souls, compered to modern cars. E30 is one of the best BMW, if not the best💗. It's nice to see how cars were built in the past. 👍

@@dooomguy5956 I dont know about that , I used to think that at first but im not sure , I have (and still do) 4 generations of 3 at the moment all are stock standard and still dealer serviced from new , besides the E36 and E90 and the 1st one and honestly the F30 and and G20 just feel to appliance like , the E46 and E30 seem to have the most personality but the E30 tops it all in personality and class . It has the highest mileage and still goes strong , when you drive it , the car just talks to you in every way , I dont "feel" that communication anymore with the newer cars .

I own a e30 325 convertible and e36 328 coupe. Best cars ever made, no comparison to the modern Bmw, this is handmade technology. Love this video thanks for sharing it with us!

My e36 328? U mean the m3 with a 328 badge lol. People don't realize how good of a motors that 2.8 is. They literally had to put a smaller intake on it to nerf it and when that wasn't enough they upped the displacement to 3.2(in the last 2 years of the model run). If u COMPLETELY(meaning getting a tune done)do the m50 intake swap,u essentially have the same power as an m3. Esp if u do a couple other things like cams,injectors and MAF
I have e21 81' and e28 82'. I can not find the words, how much I love to drive it. This cars drives perfect!!!!! Fantastic!!!

Эти машины были сделаны с душой,и обладали душой,не то что современные одноразовые машины.У меня было 3 машины,Е 30 и о каждой остались только теплые воспоминания,обязательно возьму себе ещё одну,как только попадется хороший вариант,но с каждым годом их становиться всё меньше и меньше,время не щадит никого и ничего.

Жалко конечно что их больше не собирают. Уверен на 1000 процентов, если бы началось сейчас производство таких машин, е30, 34,36. они имели бы огромнейший спрос

@@rogerc3137 I worked for the Company that did the hydroforming process of the M3 header. I´m sure I´ll get a pass too, right?:) Later I made the GMT360/370 and the Panther-platform a reality.I hope that does not jinx my chances:)

Funny how -with what seems to us now - primitive technology - BMW created its best cars ever in the e30. Funnest to drive, best looking and of course thrilling with the M3. Thank sweet baby Jesus I have my fully restored 1991 318iS and my absolutely mint 1990 M3. Thank you BMW - I will never buy the “made to lease” junk you make now,

Unfortunately BMW has lost sight of what a good car is. I highly doubt that anyone will be restoring their current line of cars in the future. The quality is not there anymore. They have adopted the profit model that all the other companies have sunken to. Now they are the same as everyone else... producing cars destined for the scrapyard. I've been a diehard BMW fan for most of my life. I love my '02s & E30s. I bought a new BMW motorcycle back in 2012 and have regretted it ever since.

@@davidparker9676Market forces decide, unfortunately. Here in North America, no one (or very very few) want a RWD, manual transmission car, that provides driving pleasure Limited slip differential ? most people dont even know what that is.

As cool as the E30 was, the E36 chassis was the best one and more exciting to drive with the advent of the inline sixes. The E36 M3 with the S50B30 and the S50B32 were weapons with sublime handling !

@@tonymontana897 The E36 chassis and suspension were weaker than the E30's. It might come down to personal taste on this point, but the e30 was better looking, lighter and stronger. The e30 also had an inline six, which you can easily swap a newer dohc inline six into. I am guessing you haven't driven a swapped e30... if you have you would be shopping for an early chassis already.

@@davidparker9676 OK. So how is the chassis and suspension weaker ? I've never heard of any structural issues on E36. The E46 yes but not the former.

Super ride, balance and performance, ridding position, ergonomics ...excellent.... the only issue was the electronics of this car was complicated for that period of time ....I hope that the reliability of BMW cars improve... less break down will make the difference!

I had a 1.8i A reg rebuilt it in mid 90's made it look like last ones of model shape H loved it so much. Was forced to sell when lost license for multiple speeding violations Girlfriend and my mum kept moaning about space. Wished i'd told them to quiet dem selves. Drove others but that one was my first love.

They still have souls. Especially m versions. E30 had plastic parts too nothing wrong with them they have less heat transfer.

@@dkdanis1340 The intake and what goes thorugh hear cycles wasn't plastic like the M50 onwards. And the coolant problems to BMW are much caused by cheaping out with plastic parts where there used to be metal used. The only upside is an insignificant weight reduction and a huge cost reduction and reduction in service intervals

Hmm, der hatte aber auch einige Fehler........reißenden Schweißnähte nach 3 Jahren......verdammt scglechtes Verdeck damt Wassereinbruch aucf bedien Seiten........Geshwindigkeiten ab 120km/h wurden zur Qual.......durch die flatternde Heckscheibe.

I've driven almost all BMW chassis and honestly, never wanted one. Untill I've driven the E30. OMG! I started searching for clean 2 door E30s and K24 swaps. Unfortunately the the good ones that I found were stupid expensive and never got one. Ohhh... dear E30.
