One of the most iconic Schnitzer Motorsport cars in racing history is making his long awaited comeback. It’s the 1978’s DRM German championship winner: the BMW Group 5 E21, which was driven by Harald Ertl.
During a long and intense process, Qvick Motors carefully restored the legendary BMW Group 5 E21-R1-26 back into his very authentic state. Even the victorious Sachs livery is now again decorating the body.
Based on the original car, Qvick Motors is building a limited series of exact replicas. These absolute collectors’ items are a real must-have for race enthusiast who are into historic cars and legendary race winners.
Each replica will carry a livery that was once on the original BMW Group 5 E21-R1-26. After the DRM victory in 1978, the car participated in many other races. It successfully competed in Germany, China, Australia, Thailand and Malaysia, with drivers as Manfred Winkelhock, Hans Stuck, Walter Brun, Harald Grohs, Francis Cheung and Ian Grey.

    I liked this scene 0:39 agaisnt the Porsche 911. And they battle each other again in the endind at 3:14. Very cinematic! Great takes.

    This car feels so nostalgic to me! Because i remember being a 90s small kid and playing slot cars with my dad on his _Polistil Champion 175._ This BMW in the black and yellow _Carling Black Label_ livery vs Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo in the _Martini Racing Livery_ were my favourite battles!     Just a heads up but I'm pretty sure you added a 0 to the weight. I'm guessing it's supposed to say 1984 pounds for the weight.

    320 Group 5 turbo engine must be the M12 in the 1400cc variant .

    1978 spec is 2000cc turbo engine, 1979 spec is the 1400cc turbo engine.

    Hallo BM mooie video, ik wou eens iets vragen. Ik wil ook zo een camcorder kopen, weet je welke het beste is tussen de hf g40 en de hf g70 en welke microfoon erbij moet?

    Mijn camera en microfoon staan bij elke video in the info. De G40, G50, G60 en G70 zijn allen heel goed. Mijn nieuwe mic. Canon DM-E1 gaf een beter geluid op de G40 dan op mijn nieuwe G70. Heel scherpe geluiden, zoals de 997 GT3 rally of Huayra R komen niet perfect over. Op de G40 was dat wel het geval. De oude DM-100 mic. is ook zeer goed in combinatie met de G40. Ik heb vroeger nog een RODE videomic pro gebruikt, maar die was nog slechter met het opnemen van luide auto's. Dus ik zou voor een canon mic. gaan. O ja, een polarisatie filter is ook goed om betere kleuren te krijgen en minder reflecties in the ruiten van de auto's.
