For one episode there was a green Stig, but it was a fleeting thing like the Stig's Chinese/American/Teenage/Italian cousin. I think the idea of black Stig went by the wayside a while ago.

Z8 with Automatic must be so boring.

I like how the old stig basically just drove like a maniac and somehow made it work for him.

Nobody says that this is a supercar. It's one of the most beautiful cars in the last 30 Years. It's a car made for cruising. They did't develop an engine specially for this car... they'd put a M5-engine in it. This car is not about power... it's about design and culture.

Andrew Piatek A matter of taste ;) I would agree that the 635 CSi is together with the Z8 and the 850/840 the most beautiful BMW.

"Young" Jeremy. he's aged pretty well since then... Though he looks older than he is. If that makes sense.

even before seeing the studio and the black stig, I knew this was an old episode...there was way too much practical, helpful information!

The Stig is a God

so if I'm as good a driver as the stig, I can get this car to be as fast as a murcielago? >.

So only the gear box made this far faster with a slightly less powerfull engine? Or was it just the Stig going mad behind the wheel?

I believe they did cuz they said their attempt at having all of the lap times be done on wet tracks was a failure and they knew it can go faster if they hadn't attempted to play mother nature with a hose and an enormous water tank.

The old murcielago was junk, it overheated and automatically cut the power down to keep the engine from lighting on fire. Now that audi has reworked it since the purchase of lambo its much schmexier faster and it actually works for more then one lap without overheating =P

correct me if im wrong, but didnt the lancer/wrx later tested, get around 1:20-1:25 for lap time?

The alpina is a very beautiful car Jeremey's problem is he always try to race with any car even some day life cars

Black stig is Spec Ops stig :D

In the end is not even as slow as he says it is and it doesn't look "all over the place" to me. Plus, to 99% of the people, this car is not about performance. Edit: I forgot to mention - it doesn't burble indeed, but it sounds biblical!

Peter Chaboud Wel the M3 coupe is the mother of M3 that is true and i love that car. i do like the M4 better than the competition though. only mistake BMW made is to employ that american designer that drew the E90.Chris bangle. The series where simply to american to me like the Alpina roadster re- designed by alpina with respect.

black stig is white's stig fan you can hear Jeremy said that white stig is stalking black stig.

I'll stick with my VW 2004 R32...no sticker shock, way less body roll and easily as fast boosted.

im sure the alpina is more reliable than the original , its was full of lemons

ahh man jeremy looks so young in this... still tho i fuckin love top gear (uk) obviously the rest suck bass,,just cant wait for the x-mass special

the car is capable of a fast time but that doesnt mean it's easy to do or even enjoyable. and alot of the time time these vehicles come with too many driving aids that limit the driver, good or bad

I think I now prefer the Z4 to this...

+Nick Lozica You're not that far off... The exterior was actually designed by the guy that founded Fisker Automotive. Considering which came first, you could say the Z8 is the father of Fisker Karma and an inspiration for the 8C :P

And still this is the BMW model that have gone most up in value, while almost all the others down the drain.

Stig must have been feeling moody and full of angst that day to wear black. Fierce, evil, black knight Stig!

The "black" Stig was Perry McCarthy, who played the Stig for the first two seasons of Top Gear. After that he was replaced by Ben Collins, who was the Stig for the next 13 seasons. The identity of the current Stig, who has played the part for the last five seasons, has remained unknown to the public.
