C.J. Lawlor well when Murray won his first playoff game, I believe Pittsburgh was down 2 games to 1, which means the first game was won with Fleury in net. So technically Murray would only have the chance to win 15, which he did. The same thing happened in 06 when the Hurricanes won the cup. Gerber was their starter, and he lost the first game and was pulled in the second after the first period and replaced by Cam Ward. They won game 2 I believe, and because Ward didn’t play a full 60 minute game, was not credited with a W. However they kept Ward in net for the rest of the playoffs.

C.J. Lawlor well, he actually did start every game in this cup run. He was pulled once haha. That’s awesome man, this is super inspiring for the City. Worst to First in 5 months. If you ask Berube, the first thing he addressed as the new coach was the issues in the locker room. Ego battles, disagreements. I find it important to do that with myself too. Address the locker room issues in my head lol.

Bruins fan, but it’s always nice to see a “first time win” for any professional sports team! Nice job St. Louis.

The bruins need more fans like you. The people in that arena tonight were classless grease ball turds. Bailed on their own team before the game ended on game 7 of the cup finals. Respect to you from St. Louis.

The NHL playoffs handshake line. Best tradition in pro sports. I didn't have a horse in this race, but to see Zdeno Chara stand in respect at center ice waiting to lead the handshakes, reminded me why I love hockey.

@@clange50 Definitely give credit to Binnington for getting to the line fast so the Bruins didn't have to sit there longer. Binnington had many former teammates waiting that he played with in the Providence Bruins organization so he showed respect which is the way it should be by all, including all the fans. People knocking on players for showing emotion is kind of disgusting but thats their problem...Great series for 2 bad ass teams

Bruins fan here. Congratulations to the Blues; incredible story. They were the tougher team and deserved the win. O'Reilly and Binnington are special and fun to watch. Parayko is a cool kid; seeing him with Laila and the Cup made me feel better after a tough loss. Great job!

Watching Chara at 42 play 3 games with a broken jaw, showing not only that he is a warrior, but the heart of the team, just amazing. And Rask is phenomenal. Two amazing players who will no doubt be in the hall of fame.

I hope so much that Binnington does nothing but improve throughout his career. His level of goaltending may change the face of hockey. Not to discount rask one bit. That man is a wall as well. Respect. But please fire and lunch the rat. He makes the NHL too dangerous and that’s saying a lot because I like a hard hitting hockey game.

I’m actually a Stars fan, wasn’t around for their championship in 1999 so to me I’ve never seen my team win, so it’s easy to put myself in someone who has never won shoes.

A year later, I had to do a double take. He's only 29, but he's already played (as of the end of 2019-20) 804 games in the regular season. That's what happens when you break into the league at age 18.

Bruins were amazing in 2019. Us Blues fans were confident that year but were also nervous and wouldn't have been surprised if the fairy tale run ended at the hands of a team like the '19 Bruins. To win it and bring the first cup home, not many things in life are comparable. Hats off to both teams. Zdeno Chara was a warrior. That man has always hady respect and then more so after that cup final. Legend! Cheers!

Painful yes....but the Bruins certainly have nothing to hang their heads for or be ashamed of....they were a VERY tough team, they really poured it on especially in this game, in my opinion; they just didn't get some of the shots, etc. going their way, plus that combined with Binnington's saves. The handshakes at the end just show how classy the Bruins (and sure, the Blues too of course) are. I live in the STL area and started following the Blues around 1981 when I wasn't even a teenager yet, but dealt with so much "pain" of my own watching them lose playoff game after playoff game, year after year, that I (just being honest here) gave up on them around 1990-91. Again, it just got to be too painful; I wasn't enjoying the games at all and it just got to be too much. Looking back on it, I do feel kinda bad now about having done that, but that's emotions for ya. So yes, I do feel your pain Justin.

Really dont like Boston. But the Bruins showed real class after a very difficult playoff run and series.

I notice something. Whenever the Boston Bruins defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs in Round 1 in Game 7, the Bruins end up losing in future rounds: 2013-Lost in Finals Game 6 to Chicago Blackhawks 2018-Lost in 2nd Round Game 5 to Tampa Bay Lightning 2019-Lost in Finals (again) Game 7 to St.Louis Blues It has become a curse for the Bruins. Not that I'm complaining.

Rask - sucks. He lost 2 Stanley Cups due his "Knees on the ice" style. I've never seen a goalie spend as much time on his knees as Rask does. Go back and look at the 2 goals that clinched it for Chicago a couple of yrs back. Look at the first period goals Blues nailed. Rusk has some great games, but- he spends toooooo much time on his knees. B's know this as well which is why they're shopping for a goalie.. That and he was too tense. Watching him during player announcement and National Anthem, he was to tense. O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D..

Wasn't fun. But this was *MIRACULOUS.* We were *LAST IN THE NHL* on January 2nd, dude!!!! We were the best team in the second half of the season and we worked our tails off!!!! This was NEVER done in the NHL!!! The other teams didn't make it past the 2nd round!!!!! We were the first in history for that. So each round we past, every victory we earned, and that with a rookie goaltender, was history in the making. You don't know the pain we suffered!!! We had 2 of the greatest players (Hulk and Gretzky) on the same team at one time and couldn't make it past round 3!!!! All I need to say is *WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!* 🎇🎊🎆📣🏆

It hurts like hell to lose. We've all been there. For 51 years we've watched and waited. Sometimes impatiently, many times very frustrated. BUT NO MORE! You can say what you want about the Blues for 51 hard years, or what may come in the future, but you can't take this win away from them.

All of the guys at work made fun of me for listening to the Blues games even when they were crap. I kept saying, this is our year, boys! I was being completely sarcastic. It was fun watching them turn it around. Even if they would have lost, I wouldn’t be that bitter about it.

Karma caught up to Marchand, and 0:40 made my day!!

Our team in 2019 was dangerous man i miss it.

I am a bruins fans but I predicted a blues bruins finals before the playoffs and was rooting for the blues in the west.. they deserve it good job

*St Patrick's Day 2019* Blues Vs Pens the Blues throttled us like 7-0 I was drunk and said "watch them win the cup" lol

I don't watch hockey, but I happened to see a feature on the young girl with cancer, who is a huge Blues fan and says they help her get through it. They showed her in this video...how awesome for her!

Respect for both teams!

The only bad part of the blues winning is that Allen gets his name on the cup when he was about as effective in the playoffs this year as Tampa. I still think that 2013 finals loss was worse though.

Imagine being a player or even a goalie in your first season playing in the NHL and you become one of the main reasons your team wins the cup.
