Blues Guitar Lesson On What To Play Into Your Looper For Practicing
Ойын-сауық
As you've probably noticed, I'm a big fan of looper pedals...
Back in the old days, I literally used to sit with a cassette deck and play a groove into it for several minutes, then rewind the tape and practice soloing over it...
With a looper I can be jamming in just a few minutes.
But, you have to know what to play, so I'm going to give you some ideas using my basic 3 grooves that I always use. Of course, you can vary them, but this is a good place to start.

Thank you LOVE the gold nuggets you give, always a pleasure to watch and learn.
I am learning how to use my guitar like a bass and snare drum. I am glad I found you here. Now, all I have to do is practice, practice, practice now, lol. Thank you Griff.
Great refresher lesson for the Looper as usual timing is everything for the use of a Looper. I am currently using Key of A 12 Bar- Blues with Straight Feel, so that I can play the Solo 1 in key of A of Lesson 18 of your Course Blues Guitar Unleashed Vol 2, page 63. The Looper really helps. Also I have the Digitech TRIO Band Creator where you just need 2 Bars of A to get the Drums and Bass going to the tempo you started with but you can modify it to suit what you are trying to do. Thanks for the lesson Griff a great refresher.
I hate "big globby things". I really enjoyed this. Thank you. Tucson, AZ.
great lesson🥰...glad i where a drummer in my early days....so its for me a natural feel when i play guitar...but i have a lot of trouble learning sologuitar....but i learned a lot from you...thanks👍🥰
Just amazing! Thank you as always.
I am just learning how to use my looper pedal. It is a Ditto +.
Awesome! Thanks Griff!
I had no idea Steve Rhoads taught guitar. 😮
Very helpful indeed, many thanks for the tip (!)
Excellent thank you
Useful for practicing with a looper. Thanks
Thanks Griff. I'm just starting to use my looper, Boss RC3. It sure lets you know if your timing is bad. I'm thinking of trying a metronome to help with that. Is that something you would recommend?
Glad I discovered your lessons, two for two so far! Thank you sir.
Thx
👍🏻👍🏻
what Looper do you like best and im not a beginner but never had a looper,, it would be noce if they made a looper pedal with drums, panio ? vocal track .... thank you you made this look easy iv allways had the shuffel or gruve for blues .... thank you
What brand looper do you use?
Hey Griff ! Do you prefer your Suhr over your vintage strat ? Seems to be your go to..

I have subtle things that nudge me one way or the other on both. The 69 has the vintage warmth, but I prefer the neck shape on the Suhr... it's hard to pick a winner.

I have a newer mod shop strat. I have yet to play a Suhr. Looking forward to trying one. Thanks, have a good evening!
Very nice. Do you use to work with the hole 12 bars progression or do you record a couple of bars only before soloing?

Depends on what I'm working on. If I'm working on something for a specific chord or chord change, I'll start with just that, and later do the whole 12 bar form.

Thanks. Do you have a video on soloing over your own track recorded in the looper pedal? @@bluesguitarunleashed
are those your amps? or is it dropped into the green screen?

They are mine... I've acquired quite a few over the last 30 years and I have to put them somewhere... might as well be against my backdrop :)
