Playing with backing tracks is one of the best ways to exercise our knowledge as musicians.
Practicing solos and even rhythm over the backing tracks is a great way to prepare ourselves to play with a band.
Not everyone has the chance to play with a band or even with other musicians, that's why I decided to create this channel so that somehow everyone can feel what it's like to play with a band.

Thanks for the great track! I hear A7/D7/E7 or A7/6-D9-E7#9. I use Mixolydian combined with the Blues scale, a different key for each chord: 1-2-b3/3-4-b5-5-6-b7. Even the last 3 notes of b2/b6/7 can be used chromatically!

@@backingtrackscenterHi! Try this: for A7’s tritones (3/b7 or b7/3), play EADGBE on 345689; play D7’s tritones all one fret lower as 234578; and play E7’s tritones as 45679-10. They are also located in other spots, and they can all serve as rapid ways to get to the best notes. Not only that but those tritones can also serve well to get to the CAGED chords which I see as EDCAG-7; here’s my 5 “shapes” which only use the DGBE strings to get located (all in the key of E here): E7, 2130; D7, 2432; C7, 6757; A7, 9797; G7, 999-10; and finally E7-shape again at 14-13-15-12. The E7 shape contains no 5, and the A7 shape contains no 1, but all chord tones are easy to find within these “shapes”. I want to pass these ideas on to some young teacher like yourself, as I’m hitting 70 this summer. Play around with these ideas, would you please ?🙏

I love this progression,It's not so restrictive as with, for example.. "purely" 7th based progressions. It's harmonic structure allows more scale possibilities than just the A min Pent....Try mixing A maj pent..and A Dorian with the A min Pent...works for me! also arpeggios +..Memphis scale , semitone runs, blue notes etc all work well with any stage of this progression
I've been using your travks for harmonica practice for a while. Thanks for posting.😊

@@davidking2835 That's a great idea. Guitar and blues harmonica are made for each other. I've played in a few bands but my most enjoyable times have been playing with street guitarists. It's very easy, just ask which key he or she's playing in, take out the appropriate harp and play some riffs behind the guitar. As long as the guitar's in tune you can't go wrong. It always sounds great. Once the guitarist realises that you are capable he or she will usually give you the space for an improvised solo or two.

Hey brother! Thanks for watching! The pentatonic minor is just a suggestion. Everyone can have a lot of fun with it, as people get more advanced they can find their own way mixing major and minor, blues scale, mixolidyan, adding 6ths and 9ths to the pentatonic and so on...
