If I throw a swivel-clip on my leader to change out my lures quickly, would that be a mistake? I only run a 2ft leader and if I tie directly to my lure, I’d run through my leader when I want to change lures

On open-party charter boats here in Southern California, the deckhands complain if you use a QD-swivel to do what you want to do. The reason why they don't like bead+QD-swivels is because the swivel gets caught up in other people's lines when you're doing the over/under dance. I always thought that rationale was nonsense but whatever, it's their boat.

For Flatfalls, do you find it necessary to rig a heavy leader, 100, 150+ lb. test or do you find 80 lb. sufficient?
