This is very great quality for 2007! I liked seeing all the engines in all the different shapes, sizes and colours. I think my favourite one is Stepney, as he was a Thomas the Tank Engine character. I also like Fenchurch and Birch Grove too, as they’re tank engines and so is Stepney, and I prefer tank engines to tender engines. That’s just my opinion.

Why were Stepney, Birch Grove, Fenchurch and the other engines whistling all at once whilst pacing up and down the line at Horsted Keynes? Was it to support an event? Last time, I went to the Bluebell Railway and I saw Stepney team up with other engines to support an anniversary was when I went to see Thomas the Tank Engine and Percy at Horsted Keynes.

Hello Harry. Yes, indeed it was part of the event to have a cavalcade of all serviceable and visiting locomotives and I managed to get a few of the positioning moves on video as well as the cavalcade itself, from memory. Gosh it was over ten years ago.
