I appreciate your no-bullshit review. When shopping for audio products, I keep running into people who just don't get to the relevant information, joke around too much, or unbox it. Thank you!

OMG yes. I used to watch unboxing videos when I first got on KZread. What a waste of time. They are so pointless. Like who gives AF...get to it already 😂

This is the best and most thorough review that I've found so far. Thanks!
By far the best mic review I've seen after spamming them for a day straight. I like that you popped in and said that those other 2 mics not being tested were better suited, though I think everything did sound fantastic. The guitar jamming was my favorite test, and was just pleasant to hear in the first place.
This is one of the best vids I saw on choosing which mic to pick.... It helped me a lot!! Thank you!! ♥
Great video sir. I love how professional and detailed the review was
Thank you for this video, it was greatly appreciated and an eye opener about the keyboard but more specifically the sounds from the sides when you were turning them around. I was considering getting the original and putting it between my wife and i so we could share the microphone while in an active voice chat with other people. So again, thank you for that full 360 demo, that really helped out.
I have the blue yeti black edition and I love it. The fact that there is so much to chose from with one mic, and you can just plug it straight in your computer / phone (if you have a dongle) is just incredible. I would definitely recommend the blue yeti to any beginners just starting youtube or streaming.
Wonderful review! I have watched several review videos over Blue microphones but you definitely have been the best. Super knowledgeable, funny, detailed and thorough. Just sold me on the original. Thank you for this review!
Thank you so much for the music making on these microphones!! This is actual what I was looking for being a singer!!
Your videos are always very entertaining and the reviews are super thorough, love your channel!
Great review. I believe you were right on point and answered my questions. I don't think it's the best type of mic for gaming either...especially when people have loud external noises. Great for music. And you're a great musician/singer. Keep it up.
I like the stereo mode to shout into the ears of whoever I'm speaking to, simultaneously surprising them and scaring the shit out of them.
Well done. Links to the dynamic mics you recommended would be useful, too.
Thorough review! Appreciate all the tests you did
Thank you so much for such a direct and coherent review!! Awesomesauce.

I love the review You did for Behringer xm8500 and bought it from Amazon for myself, along with a scissor stand and other stuff, after my "gaming headset" broke and I was frustrated to find something that would not cost $100+ and break in two years at the same time. Today I have completely forgotten about the time when I had to suffer because other people would would complain that they hear metallic-hissing-noise and all other issues when You are using devices that are sold as "gaming" or "desktop" solutions. At some point a band was short of microphone for the performance I have no idea what it was, and I offered them to take mine as a joke. They took it and said it was perfect to record his growl and interview. Thank You for Your channel, it is entertaining and actually useful to make a proper shopping choices :) I remember I was actually looking in to buying Blue Yeti Pro (because it has xlr, etc) but I had a chance to test a Razer Seiren X and I noticed how good it is in picking up all the noise in the room and all the acoustic details of my room and I was 100% sure from that moment that this type of microphone will not do me good. I figured out that if I choose to go with expensive, high quality microphone, I will need to pay for additional sound filtering/editing hardware and to soundproof my room and risk getting actually worse quality sound in the end, in comparison with, if I just buy that cheap Behringer XM8500. I am using it with a professional USB sound card with XLR input though.
thank you, the review was really clear and actually showed all my possible uses. I think I will be buying that other mic, I appreciate it. Actually talked me out of these so I am gonna get the ATR 2100 usb you suggested!
I use a Yeti for podcasting in a room without much soundproofing. I have the gain turned almost totally down and got the damn thing off the table and on a mic stand. Every problem is pretty much solved.

yeah and for recording for youtube videos and streams, just turning up the volume in recording software and raising the gain on the microphone itself will make the audio much better sounding.

Awesome video bro. I never see a video with this detail level. Congrats bro. Really amazing of this content!
Thanks for doing this video so well, now I think I’ll look into those mics you mentioned at the end
I just got a blue yeti the other day cause I know it’s been a staple in the yt industry for years and I also love that I found this channel in an audiophile
You're awesome dude, thanks for this!
the best review, was looking for this comparison. you helped me choose the right one for me, usage in music. i'm also using your link for purchasing! thanks!
Thank you so much for your comparison. Pretty much the only video like this worth watching. This was so helpful!
Comprehensive, clear, and concise. Perfect review.
Thank you for a nice and concise review of these three. I totally agree with your choice. Essentially the Pro trio costs about twice as much for just offering better bit depth and higher sample rate roof. However, most users would never need anything beyond 48 kHz, which is a useful SR for video content. In terms of bit depth, yea, it would be nice to get 24 bit sound, but not for this price tag. Additionally, with your voice tests Original and Pro versions sounds almost identical to me, while I noticed a better sounds from Pro when you played the acoustic guitar. Considering, most people, including myself are using Yeti for voice-related recordings, and most of the time for spoken word, this little advantage in terms of sound quality will be never heard.
Thank You! I’ll look into the USB Dynamic Mic.
I love how much detail you put into your videos!!! I bought the nano for streaming video games because I found it used for 50 dollars on amazon and couldn't pass up the opportunity for it haha! it's genuinely a really great mic and I'm already so thrilled about it!! I figured it'd be good for streaming on twitch because I stream in my quiet bedroom in my quiet apartment, and it's a pretty high quality mic! Thanks for the awesome review!! It's what got me interested in the blue yetis! I KNOW you said it's not recommended for video games streaming, but when I saw this ordinarily 100 dollar mic for 50, I had to go for it haha! I was using the samson go mic for years and it was just not doing enough! Thank you for the review :D

great video, thank you. I just started as KZreadr and learning about Audio!
Hella thorough review man! You hit all the aspects!
Woah great video! Subbed :)
You have definitely saved me a lot of money. I could not make up my mind on whether to purchase the yeti or yeti pro. I already have a usb microphone which is just awesome. Thank you!
I use the Yeti Pro for recording choirs using it's stereo pickup pattern. The only criticisms I've gotten from people who have heard my recordings with this mic is that they sound too good and show up the flaws in some of the choirs performances. I've also used the original USB Yeti which is what convinced me to buy a pair of the Yeti Pro microphones. The original Yeti is now in a friends private voiceover studio. Thanks for the comparative review.
Oh cool! Another Versus series 😲

Hi there, awesome video. I have a few problems with background noise with the blue yeti original when I do ASMR. The environment is really quiet but I keep getting lots of white noise with the gain up. Would that be different with the yeti pro? Thank you!

You video was extremely helpful to me because I want to do ASMR *lol* ... I loved your reaction to ASMR.
THIS is a real review, from a professional. Thank you.
Great thorough review! You are the best audio reviewer that I have found. I was in the market for a new microphone and was deciding between Audio-Technica ATR2000x and Blue Yetti. I ended up going for ATR2000x because that is what suits my needs the most (zoom calls)

I noticed that too. So unprofessional for doing that.
Dude, I love u. Great vid
Fkn excellent comparison dude
From what I understand you cannot say objectively which mirophone is the best because it depends on your needs. But seeing this video I would buy the blue yeti nano since the microhone that I am using is worst that any microphone that I have seen, for example the Behringer c-1u is better than my mic. Also Blue Yeti Nano is the best for me at this period since I do not have a lot of money. Thanks for making this video. I am watching your channel from the day tthat I watched one of your videos, I actually found your channel recently but your channel is one of the good channels, meaning that your videos include quality and you test the microphones fully so that we can understand if a microphone does worth to buy it or it does not worth. Again thank you and keep up the good work. :-D
Great review and I would agree, only I purchased the Yeti Pro mostly because I had a Dell $200 coupon for my workstation purchase I made, and Dell is selling all these mics so only paid $50 plus tax for my Blue Yeti Pro... Looking forward to it to arrive soon. I play the saxophone, so this should be fun... Again thanks for the review and great presentation
The reason I've been considering the Pro is because it offers the XLR connection. For podcasting that might not matter, but for music it might. What comparable microphones offer both USB and XLR connections?
Great video. I guess I'm still new to the yeti. I can tell it is a bit diff bet the nano vs the original and pro.
Hi Bandrew! Someone just asked a question about the Blue Yeti and I sent her to watch this video 🤓 I use the ATR2100 and the Samson Q2U so for now I am good to go until I invest in a mixer. Btw - do you have a video that talks about good mic techniques (for KZreadrs)? Thanks!!
I have been using two Rode NT1 mics for my ASMR setup but I picked up a Yeti Pro to plug into my interface to see how it might mix with my setup. So far I can't get the noise floor low enough to make the audio usable. I don't know if it is something I am doing wrong so I came here for answers. Instead, I feel personally attacked, lol. All good though, I get it. When I plug the yeti mic into a USB on my laptop the background noise is quiet. When I use XLR cable there is too much noise coming through. I cut the phantom power to one of the channels so the splitter isn't getting double phantom power, and that seems to help but there is still a lot of static. I know this video is old but was wondering if you might have any thoughts? Should I just send it back?
Thank you ! Very informative!!
