Tbh I prefer reds because they are silent and fast. Really good for gaming. Blues are really loud and kinda anoying. Plus blue switches are kinda hard to upgrade/lube

@@Nxzl1v I wanted a mechanical keyboard for years. but I still use regular rubber dome keyboards at work, and now that I have a mech keyboard, I think they are kind of overrated. I typed so much better at first, but after a short while, I started doing the same typos I made on the rubber dome. I guess there's not magic bullet to being a perfect typer.

am i the only one that wants blue switches 😭 i got reds for my first mechanical and im loving it so far, but ive heard my friend’s blues and theyre gorgeous. its so loud and satisfying to me. maybe im insane. i might settle on browns though just because blues might annoy my housemates. good thing my keyboard is hot swappable

I doubt it, the blue sounds aren't that bad plus it's probably the only switch with decent tactility of the MX range (if you excludes the Ergo Clear of course). Also if you conceived blue switches are loud as a disadvantage, wait until you hear Beamsprings and Model F's loudness.

I like the sounds, like the blue key, because it gives you the feeling of playing, but I like the speed of response, like the red key, so I don’t know which one I like.

unpopular opinion, i actually like the blue switches. i like that i can really know when i've pressed a key fully. reds has no response that you've actually typed.

I don’t like reds stock honestly you better off getting a hot swap board then putting Akko switches in them they are the best for the price don’t get red because if you don’t plan to lube you won’t enjoy it quite as much Just my opinion

Blue switches really are for me, it really helps me cope with my adhd and it satisfies my need of an asmr trigger when it randomly pops out

I prefer blue switches. The only thing I prefer is a red switch spacebar. I think blue switches are so much more satisfying to press while red switches just kinda sound and feel mid. Though they are more quiet which is great.

there is no mid switch blue have so much noise so if ur streaming or som it would annoy so much but its good and writing and montage red is fast and silent and can make feel ur having mecaniqual keyboard and you choose the switch that will make u feel good in playing and streaming or montage and writing

Lemme explain Blue switches is okay for gaming its just that its very loud, it's also hard to upgrade blue switches and sometimes click wont register and u would have to press it down hard inorder to register it. Red switches on the other hand is very fast and responsive,the only downside is that u won't feel the click when pressing down on it, but that doesnt matter because u are already clicking on it, even tho u dont hear it u still are clicking on it. There good for rythm games and other shooter or any games,. Btw u could also play minecraft at 3Am without ur mom knowing But this comes down to preference I usually like red switches only for the sound Blue switches is not good for me tho because its loud and also the things i mention, But all down to preferences😀

I've had red, brown and blue switches and I have to say the blue ones feel the best to type on, but they are loud. The reds are not much better the only truly silent keyboards I've tested have been membrane. There are some pretty nice membrane keyboards if you want to type in a shared office or with roommates.

Honestly both examples shown here are kinda bad lol, but the red switches are less rattly and more clean. Clickies are really just not my thing. Ofc there are some exceptions (box jades actually have a quite satisfying click rather than just loudness), but in general I love linears. Planning on checking out tactile gang in the future tho

Personally, I like the blue switches instead of the red, it just feels more better and it actually feels like I am actually clicking the key because of the sound.

Its not loudness(amplitude) but the frequency that is in question when it comes to switches. Blue has high frequency red has low frequency
