What I love about this song is how delightfully malicious it is, almost reveling in the wealth generated by turning bloody horror into almost cartoonish entertainment. Although to be perfectly honest, this is as much our fault as it is the corporate news. Lets get real; *WE EAT THIS SHIT UP.* Hey, you, reading this comment, here's a fun little game: Next shooting you hear about, tell everybody in the most populated room about it if they havent heard already, and keep a stopwatch to time how quick they pull out their phones or run to the closest TV.

francoispepe well actually it’s a reference to Gil Scott herons poem/song from 1970, “The revolution will not be televised” It’s such a great and memorable line which is why it’s been referenced so many times in other media. Either in its original form or as “the revolution WILL be televised” for the irony and to make a statement about the media or something along those lines

Quite profound and sends a strong message. I'm not into devils and demons but Ive enjoyed most of the album. Cheers

This song got scarily relevant and on-point lately.

Get a lot of Marilyn Manson vibes from the lyrics. Seems to explore the same themes he does with the immortalisation of serial killers and them practically becoming pop culture icons. Pretty interesting.

the song is fantastic, and it addresses something I've been angry about for a long time (mainstream media feeding frenzies over tragic mass murders). the only real criticism I have is of the chorus, which just repeats the same four (good) lines when it feels like it could've said more with that space. I would love to see a version that keeps the same or similar rhyming scheme, but uses a different set of lyrics for the second quartet in the chorus, or a different first quartet, keeping the original for the second since it's so impactful. I love this song, can't get enough, but it just feels weak in that regard. Maybe it's my love of poetry and maximizing available word space, and most people don't care. :) Keep doing what you do.
