    Does water ever come over the front of the boat? Have you had this boat in rough water? Thanks

    Cool vid, I saw ur other 360 vids too, like them as well. I’ve got a pro as well. You may know this already but hummingbird autopilot works with Kota trollers. Garmin, imo, is the best, they have 1.2mhz side and down imaging just like bird but they also have the best live forward imaging...but due to oem squabbles, garmin autopilot only works with garmins force troller which is too big for the 360. I have a motorguide troller which only works with Lowrance (the worst, 800khz imaging and terrible live forward imaging)...so I’m stuck with Lowrance, for now. When garmin releases a kayak troller, I replace everything. The reason I think chart plotter/fish finder troller autopilot is so important is because side imaging is tricky. When side imaging is integrated with the troller you just waypoint interesting structure and then you can always and automatically relocate that structure...eliminating the voodo that is side imaging. Hope that makes sense.

    Nice tips. Looking to get the Angler Pro LE next Year. Why do you say that the Garmin Trolling Motor is too big for the Angler? Will the Minn Kota PowerDrive be a better option? I just want spot Lock. What trolling motor are you using for your Angler now and what's the pounds of thrust. Also, how big is your trolling motor battery in amp hours and how long does it last when using it on your Angler all day long? I'm also thinking on getting a 2.5hp Yamaha outboard on the back of the Angler as well.

    John Athanassion the garmin force is a full size bass boat troller. It only runs at 24 or 36 volts, it’s got about 150lbs of thrust, it’s gigantic and heavy and 50” is the shortest shaft (I’m getting my shaft cut to 28”), plus it costs about 4000 bucks. It’s the very best pro caliber, bass boat competition troller...period. Totally inappropriate for a kayak...totally and utterly way to big and heavy, and it can’t run at 12v. You can goto Cabela’s and look at one, it will be immediately obvious. I have a 45lb motorguide xi3 with the optional gps gateway, pinpoint gateway and nema 2000 gateway additions. I currently have a grp27 deep cycle and it easily lasts a full day of fishing, 8hrs. I’m not super versed in all of Kotas offerings but in my opinion you’d want one with I-pilot instead of I-link. It’ll be more expensive but will save you massively if you ever wanted to integrate with a hummingbird by not having to purchase a wired nema 2000 network (~750 bucks all totaled and operational). You’ll want a 12v Kota with 45-55lbs of thrust, I-link or i-pilot, digital maximizer, and the shortest shaft you can buy, but at least 24”. Most of us 360 owners end up shortening our shafts...you’ll see why when you get one. But all the modern shafts are composite, which makes it a little trickier. For me, autopilot was more important than a lifepo4 battery. But I will eventually upgrade to one. Unless Jackson upgrades to the minn Kota or Newport Vessels battery box, you’ll wana get one of them too. They both have an integrated 60a mainline circuit breaker and an integrated 10a accessories circuit breaker. And they comfortably hold many 100ah lifepo4 batteries. I have no experience with any stern mounted propulsion but from what I gather it’s tricky and heavy and overkill as the 360 wasn’t designed to plane out.

    The garmin is 24/36 volt which means you would need multiple batteries. I’m currently using a 100ah lithium battery from amped outdoors, that lasts all day and then some. My motor is a 12 volt 55lbs thrust Minn Kota with i-Pilot.

    Blue Summit Outdoors I sure wish I had researched all this before going with motorguide because I’d have gotten precisely what you have. It would have saved me the trouble, hassle and expense of all the nema 2000 stuff and i woulda been able to get a 12” hummingbird solix with 1.2mhz down and side imaging for less than it cost me for a 9” Lowrance with 800khz imaging. Those nema 2000 wires and network are such a hassle. Well done

    Thanks. Yea I’ve always like Minn Kota motors, unfortunately I also like Garmin Fishfinders. So they will not be able to communicate but that’s ok.

    Hi, I have this same boat and motor set up. I was wondering what the battery number this is for the 100 amp hour? I want to order the correct one. Great video. Love my angler 360.

    @@BlueSummitOutdoors Can you use any type of a car charger to charge this type of battery?

  • @dtdionne

    @dtdionne

    4 жыл бұрын

    John Athanassion this is a tricky question and with the crazy cost of lifepo4 you ain’t gonna get a straight answer from anyone but the battery manufacturer and they’re gonna say “NO, use our charger”. Its not a question of what “will” charge a lifepo4 battery, it’s a question of what’s covered if something gets sideways while charging. If you get a defective battery but put it on an unsupported charger your gonna be in a tough spot...when lifepo4 100ahs are $50 (instead of $800), this will no longer be an issue. But most typical lead acid trickle chargers are not suitable for lifepo4. True higher amp, 14-16v lead acid chargers can charge one, but I wouldn’t do it...lifepo4 is just too expensive to gamble with. GAMBLE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

    @@dtdionne Okay, just was curious! But doing some research, the battery is only good for around 3 years and then it's worthless. I need a battery to last a lot longer than 3 years for close to $700+.

    What speed do you get with the 55lbs thurst Minn Kota and what shaft length are you using? I've noticed in videos that on these boats each "pontoon" i guess you would call it doesn't sit that high out of the water, has that been an issue with getting lots of water up over them or on the deck?

  • @BlueSummitOutdoors

    Currently I get about 3.2mph, however I think I may have figured something out that may increase the speed I just have to test it first. I have a video about all of that coming soon. My shaft length is around 28” If I remember correctly.
