“Roan” is not a breed, whether it’s blue roan, strawberry roan, or black roan. It’s a color pattern that occurs when white hairs are sprinkled throughout the base coat color. Roans occur in many different breeds, although it’s more common in some breeds more than others, particularly in quarter horses, Appaloosas, and gained breeds. However, I’ve seen it expressed in other breeds as well.

My first horse was a strawberry roan mare. I got her on my 16th birthday. It was so much fun to be able to ride just about every day. Her name was Jitter her first foal was named Jitters Bug. LOL.

Since when did 'blue roan' become a breed?! It is not a breed! It is a color variation that is present in many different horse breeds!!!

You know blue roan is a coat, not a breed right? And while they are very pretty, they aren't exactly rare..

As I said quarter horse every picture you got on here is a quarter horse which ain't nothing wrong about the quarter horses except for they've been over manipulated by man if there is any rarity in the Appaloosa it was because basically nobody really wanted one for quite a few years and then all of a sudden man started putting half a loose on top of quarter horse then all of a sudden there's there's a real goal for it!!!!!!!

Blue roan horses are definitely not rare. Are they beautiful just because they are blue roan? No. Some are pretty, some are not. Like all horses.

What are all horses rare to you or what the blue rooms been around for your years and years and years and years too they've just been higher bread that's sort of a quarter horse type thing and there's a lot of blue rounds around I don't know where you get this rare s*** why don't you go find a horse with wings that's a rare tea you put those wings on and I won't comment no more on what you got!!!!!!

Not a breed. Is a color that can pop up in any breed. More in Quarter Horses than in other breeds
