Blue October is an American alternative rock band originally from Houston, Texas. The band was formed in 1995 and is currently composed of singer/guitarist Justin Furstenfeld, drummer Jeremy Furstenfeld, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye, bassist Matt Noveskey, and lead guitarist Will Knaak.

Ive had the pleasure of meeting this band when they came to the uk,i shook justins hand and thanked him for saving my life! The song fear saved my life,this guy,his brother and the rest of the band are the purest humans ive ever encountered! He bleeds his words for his fans! He is the most generous and pure human,he lived life in the edge and fought back,hes my hero thats for sure

Justin is amazing...all the Blue boys are. Good people. Incredible. I've seen them live 8 times now. Can't wait for more! Blue October has songs that encompass a LOT of heavy topics. Emotions. Emotions. So heartfelt. Personal. They've saved lives.

Blue October is pure bliss.

I hope you go down a Blue October shaped rabbit hole now then! So many beautiful songs. Justin's lyrics are so genuine, heartfelt, honest, and relatable. You will not be disappointed! I've been a fan for over 20 years. Beautiful voice, beautiful man, beautiful heart, beautiful soul.

Ditto what Heidi said. I hope you start with The Answers and go through each album. I don’t like all especially in Any Man In America but they had hundreds of great songs. This one is a heart ripper for sure. The best way to hear them is with headphones. You will be able to hear all the parts.

You HAVE to see them live. I have seen Blue October 12 time, and Justin's Open Book tour 4 times. Amazing watching so many people from so many different backgrounds all enjoy together and cry together. They are poets putting their word to music.

I love seeing the raw emotions you show when you listen to them. He is so good at making you feel his feelings

I absolutely love your reactions to Blue October!!!! I watch for them because I know they will be that good! But you need to listen to and react to some of their new music. There’s a song called Fight for Love. And the lil girl whom he’s singing about with such anguish here in this song. Well she sings in it. And it’s such a beautiful thing!!! We blue fans have seen him go thru so much. But now he’s sober and happy and his children our his life. That and his fans. I hope you consider finding the live video of Blue Reed singing Fight for love with her daddy!

do more blue october!! :D you know you want to!! and Justin wants you too...this band helped me growing up..stopped me from suicide, helps me with my depression daily. There is nothing better than sitting back and listening to Justin and a Blue October record. Especially a Live one.

I saw them the beginning of December 2021. So awesome! I've been a fan over 20 years and I just love everything about them. I'm so glad you were introduced to them! They have a lot of fans, but I still feel they are underrated. So much talent and heart. I play violin and pretty much all their songs feature their violinist. It's another thing I love about them. :)

FIL!! There is a very recent fan video of his daughter getting on stage and singing their song "Fight for Love". You must watch it to see the love he has for his daughter and how much he has grown from his pain. Please find it and review!

Yeah this was about his divorce from his first wife. How he was desperately trying to hold the family together and make it work for the sake of his daughter but the marriage was disintegrating. Its a really emotional song that i think families going through divorce ought to listen to so it doesnt become a petty vindictive war between former spouses.

Justin is an amazing singer and songwriter. Their shows are like a religious revival!! I’ve been lucky to see them over a dozen times and counting!

I was lucky enough to see them twice this year. Once with the full band and once with just Justin and Ryan (the violin / piano guy) doing an acoustic set. Both were amazing in their own way. The giant rock band sound with everyone screaming and releasing their emotions and the the quiet intimate show with everyone silent and just feeling his every word. The acoustic show was a week after my father died and I cried through half of it just from the overwhelming emotions in his lyrics and because his father died this year as well and he talked about it. He just drills into my soul.

can't wait for the European tour...

i only came across them 3 years ago, Hate Me was the song, im 58 now and i have lost my mom my brother 3 darling cats and my love just this past aug 28 and im grateful for his music its kept me going .. i would recommend just about any of his songs but these 3 are the ones that touch me deeply: For My Brother, Graceful Dancing and Just Me

I think you should pick on song from each album and react to it. And watch the journey of this band. They just keep getting better and better which is pretty amazing cuz they have always been so dang good!!!!

But bro, if you want a ton of subs, you might want to check out Home Free, an American A cappella group who are simply out of this world with their covers. Start with Man of Constant Sorrow and be prepared for a mind blowing trip down the rabbit hole. Their fans come out by the thousands. You won’t be disappointed…..

I've seen a lot of big bands live (Dave mathews, Lincoln Park, Metallica stained and many others) there are many that put on a "bigger" show but none I've seen that put on a better show
