This could actually be huge. I think people are sleeping on how popular Blue Lock is and how many of the fanbase would come out to a movie like this. Plus it will be right in the middle of the soccer season in NA and just as World Cup 2026 starts building media attention.

It's huge in Japan but it only blew up briefly In the west. If they do season 2 justice, it will become a top 3 sports anime no doubt but it needs to stick that landing first

Crunchy will also have theatrical releases of the Movie in Europe, in July right after the EUROs: My country Italy will have its release on July 17, three days after the final of the continental soccer tournament, and I hope I can watch as back-to-back EURO champions. 🫰 *UPDATE 29/06/2024:* Scratch that "back-to-back EURO champions." Thanks Switzerland, I will never go on a holiday there. Still excited for the movie though!

Stoked my favorite character is getting a spinoff movie

Just realised yuta and nagi have alot of similarity they both have monsters inside of them they are a the main character of the spin off movie and are incredibly powerful

This is going to be so great. Can’t wait for this to be released.

@@habun_ii it is called « festival international du film d’animation d’Annecy » in French. It takes place in Annecy (a big city close to Switzerland) and it is actually one of the biggest international festival of animation. For example we had a preview showing of the Nagi episode, Inside out 2, Arcane 2, etc., Last year we had a preview showing of chainsaw man. Basically it’s one of the biggest for almost a hundred year now and its reputation is so big that the pass to see the movies and contests are expensive & very limited. I live in the city and tried to get pass and in not even a day or two it was all sold out 💀 I had to ask my friend if she could ask her mom to get us a pass because her mom used to be a translator for the festival. Anyway, it is a pretty impressive festival and very interesting one so if you’re very much into animation stuffs you should definitely give it a try !

@@finalglitchz7949 it was very fun! I chose the Nagi passenger car. The wheel goes up really high & takes a long time. Wish I went during the evening for the city lights. They also give you a cool Nagi plastic picture thing to keep. And you can play the trailer during the ride. Japan is amazing
