BLUE LINGCOD on a BOBBER wrapped in a BANANA LEAF!

Ойын-сауық

I think I've got this bobber rig dialed in! Adding that 3/4oz bullet weight on the bottom combined with a very slow retrieve has been giving me lots of success. We're starting to run low on the bobbers - probably will be restocking in a month or so.

bro, here's a tip to make those banana leaves much more pliable so it doesn't tear easily... don't wet them fresh leaves. while fresh, put it on to top of a flame or those embers you got there bottom side up (that's the one with the sort of silvery color and powdery texture). you'll notice it'll change color to a much more vibrant green. just slowly run the whole length of the leaf on top of the embers until you get that change in color and you're good to go. here in the Philippines, we call that process "Laib". Not sure if Jun is familiar with the technique but we do that here. Keep the vids coming and always stay safe. ✌️

That type of preparing and cooking of food is famous here in the Philippines. It is famously called here as, “binalot sa dahon ng saging” or wrapped in banana leaves. Here, it is best with the combination of rice and chicken adobo, with hard boiled egg and raw tomato. But nice dish though. I’m a huge fan of your content, catch and cook! God bless brother! 😊

Watching from the Philippines, man. love your show. Btw, maybe you should try this. I'm not sure if its gonna go well with Lincod thO. salt, soysauce, vinegar, garlic, onion, leaks, and ginger. Pack it in banana leaves and wrap the leaves in aluminum foil. For a 3/4 kg milkfish it's 15mins per side. You can just adjust based on the size of your fish.
