They are definitely the surprise team of the season and looking like the best team in the AL West. LAA and HOU are still close which is going to make things extremely interesting going forward. Vladdy horrible baserunning in 1st got Gray off the hook. He made numerous bad baserunning mistakes whole season. His error later caused jays 2 unearned runs and forced bassitt to end his night early... let alone Kirk was forced to hit in 2nd inning instead of in 1st inning....which unfortunately resulted in injury....

Great series win by the Rangers. Gray was rusty, that'll happen but I'm confident he'll be back to his good form next start. 10 Reasons Why The Blues Jays Won't Win This Year: 1. They don't produce with guys in scoring position. 2. The entire league knows that the team's offense is susceptible to high pitching and opposing pitchers take advantage. 3. Management sacrificed offense by trading Gurriel and Moreno for a hitter like Varsho that hasn't paid off. 4. They have little depth in relief and the manager doesn't know how to work with the resources he has. 5. The offense is having a hard time getting more than 3 runs per game. 6. They are not able to beat teams in the same division. 7. They didn't count their star pitcher Menoah was going to be such a disaster this season. 8. Hitters like Springer, Guerrero, Kirk have not been at the level of the previous season. 9. The team is not well balanced and much less motivated. 10. They will end up paying for what they did to Bass.

Rangers are in this tough stretch right now that after losing DeGrom and their bullpen has been erratic, they might need to go make some moges at the deadlien to improve. I know that there's been reports on the Rangers having interest in Aroldis Chapman and Scott Barlow from the Royals to help with the back end of the bullpen but what would the Royals want in return for those players? Obviously there's a bucnh of high level starters like Bieber, Burnes, Cease, Lynn (former Ranger), Giolito, and others to look into but how much of the farm do the Rangers want to give up for either a rental or a long term pitcher to help them win right now?? The Dane Dunning starts so far have been great but in his last 2 starts hes been getting roughed up again and thats bad news for Texas. They have to see what the trade market looks like if they want to make a run. Also they might need to go get a right handed bat for their lineup since theyve been using Heim, Grossman, and Garver at DH. Maybe you can get a guy like Justin Turner from the Red Sox who can become a full time DH for you and you dont have to give up much for him. Then your starting lineup would look like this here: 2B Marcus Semien SS Corey Seager 1B Nathaniel Lowe RF Adolis Garcia 3B Josh Jung C Jonah Heim DH Justin Turner LF Ezekiel Duran CF Leody Taveras Bench: OF Robbie Grossman OF Travis Janokowski C/DH Mitch Garver INF/OF Josh Smith C Sam Huff Your lineup would be the best in baseball scoring runs and it helps your rotation along with your bullpen as well. I would look to go get Dylan Cease from the White Sox since hes a 2 year rental because I like to have long term on the roster. Also for the bullpen, I would like Chapman and Barlow to fix the back end in front of Will Smith. Then your rotation/bullpen would look like this right here: RHP Dylan Cease RHP Nathan Eovaldi LHP Martin Perez RHP Jon Gray LHP Andrew Heaney Bullpen: RHP Jose Leclerc LHP John King RHP Joe Barlow LHP Brock Burke RHP Johnathan Hernandez LHP Aroldis Chapman RHP Scott Barlow LHP Will Smith This would be my roster when we get into the dog days of summer because this Rangers team has a chance to do something that they havent done in a very long time and thats to make a postseason run and win the World Series for the first time under Bruce Bochy.

@@daniel.Rangers2023 I've been a rangers fan since I started following baseball (I was probably about 6 or so,) and you and I both know that we dont know what a team needs to win a WS. Just because there seems to be a "formula" doesn't mean that's always going to work. When Chris Young trades away the entire team's future for Dylan Cease or some pitcher like that and it doesn't work out, we'll be right back where we were after 2016. I've watched this team just like I'm sure you have, and nobody gave us a chance this year, but this team has something special. I'm not saying that we'll even make the playoffs, but the future is bright.

What have the Jays done to proven they can win a title? Nothing. They are the exact same team as last year. They will either catastrophically come short in a wild card series or miss entirety. Along with the Leafs unclear future and the Raptors tank Toronto is close to being back in the dark ages.

there are a lot of players being carried by a small contingent of players that should be traded, there is about 5 pitchers and 25% of the other players need to be traded, if the Bluejays are serious about playing to win then trade at least 10% of white doing nothing for the team players for black and latino players, develop good players like guerrero, we need more gausman and bichette players, it's not a racist remark about black and latino players being overall better consistent players

Two words again cement the problem with the Blue Jays: John Schneider. On yesterday's game (and many others the last couple months), I've been mentioning losing moves Schneider has made to burn chances to win. On top of that, his talk-first-act-later approach continues to pollute the Jays into making careless mistakes and lousy hitting. I will say that yes, Bassitt didn't have his stuff again today against a really dangerous Texas team. Yes, I think Schneider's move to pull him for Pearson to end the danger was a good move. No, I don't blame Schneider at all for the following inning where Pearson gave up the lead. However, even after all that from the Jays, at one point they were 7-8 within a chance to catch up, and Schneider sends in Cimber with men on base to feed another meatball homer to the Rangers. Then, as the ultimate display of "I give up", he sends in Mitch White to get hammered. Jays fans for months have been clamouring for firing Walker, Martinez or even Atkins/Shapiro. I continue to stand by my belief that this composed team is great, minus a a few problems in the bullpen that can be repaired at the deadline. I think even outsiders of the Jays fandom can see just how horrendous Schneider has been. This easily has now stunted any chance these players have to ride some momentum. Ironically, Schneider's lazy interviews show he knows what the problems are. "We need to find some team unity" and "this team is too good to not do better". Both of these statements are true, however, Schneider refuses to realize that HE is the one preventing either of these from happening. Right now, and I STRONGLY believe this, the team needs a leader with a winning mentality. They need to BELIEVE they can win, and thanks to Schneider's looming presence, they clearly don't. They can string together a couple hits, go on some short streaks, but they don't look like they truly believe it. I swear, if Schneider's title can't be changed, make Mattingly his decision whisperer for a month. Ask Mattingly to make the decisions that matter and let Schneider enact them with his title. Let the clubhouse show this is happening. Let the better decisions infect them, let them scrap together some close wins that Schneider would have lost, and let them feel that fire that proves they are great. Something like that can spark the momentum these guys need. When the season started, veteran Kiermaier said "I truly believe these guys are a 100 win ballclub". I'm not looking at the number as a reality. However, I think he was right in that these guys have exactly what they need to be a big contender. They desperately need someone who can take them there, and Schneider has proved he isn't that guy.

John thinks Swanson should only be used in 8th when up by a run or 2 or tie game. Today is a perfect example Swanson must be used instead of Cimber when they were down by a run. High leverage situation includes down a run in 6th or 7th inning.

@@bensona7089 It's sickening how little he uses Swanson in high leverage. Our best relief pitcher who has proven to get out of tough jams several times, and he sends in Cimber, who now has a good handful of blown holds just in 2023 alone. Still haven't forgotten the meatball he fed to Trout during the April Angels series. It's not really just that killing the morale, but his horrendous managing is blowing any chance we have of even making comebacks. I was legitimately all for him because in his start with the Jays, he was the fresh jolt the Jays needed from an equally horrid Montoyo season. Even after the atrocious move that ultimately killed us in the WC Game 2 last year, I really wanted him to be the spark that ignites the passion in the Jays. However, he has proven well past that game and well into 2023 that he is not a major league manager. Montoyo to Schneider may have been a bust, but the Jays absolutely have something proper this time: Mattingly. Guy is a legend, has played and managed in the majors successfully for years, our players clamour to him just to ask for his mentorship, and he just sits there every game looking sad. Let him call the shots, just for one month. I swear, not only will we lose less winnable games, the motivation will give us the surge we need to wake up this club. The only thing we can't do is keep Schneider driving towards the ravine.
