Exactly, for 34mil/5yrs he's a gem. They f'd him two starts ago when he had his first start straight in MLB after month and a half on the IL and it went horribly. Since then he has 2GS 12.2IP, 1ER

So great how many Jays fans gather in Seattle every season making this a home game. Wonderful.

I'm a west coast Jays fan and have been going to seattle to see them since 92. Saw the WS team before they won it. But I'm torn. I love the M's too. Normally I would always cheer the Jays over the M's but this year is a bit different. Let's face it....Jays aren't getting in this year. But the M's have a very good team and I really want to see them win their first WS. Seattle needs these wins more than the Jays do. Still....two entertaining games so far.

Speaking as a tiro here in England, it was great to see Springer playing with such joy, the new pitcher coming through and the Jays getting it right in the field and on the bases. Good to see Guerrero reaching a ball low and away. Maybe the hand strength problem after the hit has made him a bit more attentive during the swing?

I would be mad that we lost but we actually had offense and almost had the comeback. GG’s jays

As a west coast Jays fan who has the M's as my #2, I actually felt a slight tinge of disappointment. Jays aren't going to get in this season but the M's have a real good chance. M's need these wins more. lol.

As tough of a season as it has been, winning down in Seattle in front of the "Canadian invasion" is always a huge treat!! Especially after all of the struggles we've been having down there over the last couple of years. Hopefully today we take a much needed series dub🤞

@@TheCpadron19: It's always the Blue Jay fans in Vancouver, BC that come down when the Blue Jays are in Seattle. Since Montreal left for DC, Toronto is basically all of Canada's baseball team.

Glad Yariel got the win and we saw some offense. I don't understand Schneider's use of analytics at all. He pulls Horowitz out of the batting lineup in the 6th to get (Davis) Schneider to bat for him because righties are hitting Saucedo marginally better than lefties, completely dismissing the fact that Horowitz is batting over a hundred points higher than Schneider AND Horowitz is hitting lefty and righty pitching equally well. Then he leaves Trevor Richards in after he allows two base runners to get on, to throw against a batter who is 2/2 against Richards with both being home runs (now 3/3 with 3 home runs). Then pulls Richards' after he allows the three run homer. Schneider tried his best to lose that game. Manoman, if you're going to go with analytics over any notion of a feeling for the game, at least use the analytics that make sense.

They never make it easy on themselves.

Mariners need to rebuild for the 24 straight season. They need to fire some people. This includes Jerry and Scott. Quit letting us down Mariners management. In today’s game the basses were loaded THREE innings in a row and NOT ONE run was scored. Absolutely disgusting. Only the mariners could accomplish this

Said this in the comments yesterday's game but as a west coast Jays fan who's been going to Seattle for games since 1992, the Kingdome, and the WS team playing against Griffey, Edgar and the boys, I'm torn this season. The M's are my number 2 without a doubt and this season, let's face it Jays fans, they aren't making the playoffs. Normally I would always cheer for the Jays in these games but the M's finally have a team that could do some serious damage (in a year where the Jays won't). And I really want the M's to win their first WS. The M's need these wins more. But then...you gotta get it done and they didn't. Let's just say I won't be all that upset if the M's win the final game. I'm hoping the Jays don't sell Bo and Vladdy (like some short sighted Jays fans want them to). It's not easy to find great young hitters in that age range to build around. There is still a really big window with them. But if they do decide to get rid of offense I hope it's to the M's somehow. Seems to be the only thing the M's are really missing. A little more pop in that lineup. That series recently against the O's kind of showed that. Love going to Seattle and Safeco for games (yeah...I'm still calling it safeco). It's such a great experience and ballpark.

Glad i found a good replay of the highlights but it took 3 tries! Good pitching, Vladdy and Kirk👍

M's might have actually won that game if they remembered to hit in the first 7 innings. Only 6 hits for the day (.188 avg) and another 11 K's, making another starting pitcher into a star. "Gas Can" Baumann showed up again today which helped seal the deal for the Blue Jays. M's won't lose the division lead this weekend - but they're trying. Go M's!
